Coaster Choice Awards

It looks like Cedar Point/Cedar Fair dominated the Coaster Choice Awards at Coasterbuzz. I never heard of Cedar Point's food was the best though.

Yeah, I don't buy that either. CP food isn't bad, but it's certainly not better than BGW or IOA.

Maybe price wise CP might be better. I guess you could count TGIFridays, and Boat House, but thats not in the park. IOA was good, and BGT was better. (I don't know about BGW). I guess it all depends on taste!

Isn't it weird every time I come on this website I am the hourly winner!:)

On an absolute scale (i.e.: compared to places I eat every day) CP's food is pretty bad. Relative to other parks? Maybe not horrible, but that's as far as I'd want to go. If Kennywood was a contender, that's probably who I voted for; I don't recall now.
I agree with Jeff. CP's food is good, but if it's put up against the likes of IoA then I'd choose IoA any day. I'm getting hungry just thinking about a dinner at Mythos.

CP food is good, I usually pig out, but the best park food was at Sea World Cleveland when Busch owned it. They even had fresh cake and pies made at the in park bakery.

I don't remember what the Busch Gardens food was like, but I bet it is excellent also.

I used to be a happy camper at Sea World when I got some free sample beers at the Beer School and then had some excellent fajita sandwiches after that.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

Even tiny Kennywood has better food, and the fries at "Da Patch" rule. I generally get them twice when there!

CP's food is top notch when compared to places like SFWoA or PKI. I wonder if those who voted haven't been outside of OH.

I'll give you that. I've never been able to put my finger on exactly what it is about PKI's food that I don't like, but it's very mediocre at best.

However, those cookies we had at CB Con last year were outstanding!

I think part of it has something to do with the fact that CP doesn't offer any unique types of food. It's all the same. Chicken, Fries, Pop, so forth. Maybe if CP had at least one unique item food that you could only get at CP, maybe it would help, I don't know..

Why does everyone hate CP food so much? I haven't been to A LOT of amusement parks, but when my friends and I go to CP, we get food at every oppurtunity we can, even if it's not unique, I think most all of it is quite delicious.

I think the problem with the food at kings island , is that the only food I can seem to find is eather pizza, or hamburgers. They dont hava a wide spectrum(sp) of food to choose from. Also, I am a die hard cp fan but the food at cp doesent hold a flame to the food at kennywood.
What about Cheese on a Stick, I've never heard of any other place that has that.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

I'm on the side of CP food, but actually the food stand Hot Dog on a Stick (found in malls quite often) serves cheese on a stick, haven't had it personally, so I don't know if it tastes like CPs...

You just HAD to remind me of those cookies while I'm on a diet.

Although there are some things at CP I really like (cheese fries from Happy Friar), most of the "fast food" is pretty much the same as anywhere else IMO. I DO like Bay Harbour, but certainly can't afford to eat there all the time.

They took out my favorite food...the BBQ chicken...when they built MF.

On the whole scale of things CP's food may not be the best in some people's opinion although I do not have a problem with it. Cheese-on-a-Stick, Macho Nachos, Bay Harbour Inn, and TGIFridays are a huge hit with myself and my family which has alot to do with how I feel about the food. PKI does not have ANY sit down restaurants, unless you consider the two large cafeteria-style buffets. But according to the Cincy Enquirer PKI has hired a Exec Chef to oversee the food aspect of the park which I am guessing will improve the quality. Perhaps CP should consider the same thing?

Also, is there a Golden Ticket for food in a park?

The best thing about Six Flags "Worlds of Adventure" is that Cedar Point is nearby!

Nobody says it's bad food, but when you've been to places like Kennywood, IOA, or Busch Gardens (either one), you know the difference. BGW in particular is easily my favorite. Outstanding stuff there.

And when you've had a burger at MiAdv, you know the difference, too. CP is better than that, for sure.

I don't know about Cedar Point having the best food, however I do know I can't wait for a cheese-on-a-stick and some of the real fries. I also miss Midway Market alot, my favorite place to chow down at CP. :)
