Coaster Buttons

While at the park over the 4th, I saw some coaster buttons hanging in window at Park Plaza shop at front of park. Went in and asked how to get them and was told they weren't selling them. We went to guest relations and asked. They were very helpful and made about 3 calls and found out they were being sold at the photo booths of those rides.

There are 8 buttons in all. they are:

Woodstock Express
Raptor
Magnum
Maverick
Mean Streak
Mantis
Top Thrill Dragster
Millennium Force

They are charging $2 and they are 3" buttons

I didn't see any discussion on them so thought I'd start one to let everyone know in case they might be interested.

This isn't the first season for those buttons; they've had them at at least a couple of those attractions for the last couple years. The assortment may have been expanded though. It's not uncommon to see employees wearing their ride's button.

I wish I would've known about them when I went. They look really nice, even though I don't wear buttons ever.

I know that I haven't seen them before. Whenever I see an employee with a new button, I usually inquire. Like when employees start wearing the HalloWeekends buttons each year.

I will admit I haven't ridden a few of these rides in the past couple of yrs. It is possible a couple of rides had them before.

The only one I'm 100% certain on is Millennium Force, seeing as how I have one that came from there a year or so ago. But, yes, a good majority of them are new.

Wow, I will have to get those next time I get up there.

They had these buttons since opening day, except for Maverick. I got the Millennium one on opening day, and went around with a friend as he got all, but the Mantis, as the Mantis, he said was the same as past years. I know the Millennium Force button is new this year from past years.

I went ahead and bought 5 of each. The employees at a couple of the booths were tickled to death that I was buying buttons! :)

Thank goodness they have the original bird on the Raptor button! I think I will have to get a few of those as well! I guess that will be in September though, so save some for me! ;)

Those are actually pretty neat, a fairly inexpensive piece of memorabilia. Though I don't wear buttons, they'd be fun to collect. I could even put them on my backpack (at least while I'm still in college).
