I was wondering if some of you regulars could give me a little info. I had reservations to come for a halloweekend in early October. Now we've had some complications and had to push it back. We're looking at closing weekend (Halloween weekend). I was there on closing weekend one other time back in 2001 and it was freakin freezing. The temp on Sat was 35-40 degrees, it was cloudy and sleeting off and on. Is this normal for that time of year, or was that just unseasonably cold that day. Kinda wondering what to expect. I appreciate any help.
October temperatures in Ohio have a very wide range. It can be 40 degrees one day and 75 the next. There's no such thing as normal temps in October. Anything is possible.
Look at last year. September and October were both still up in the 70's and 80's. But that is not typical. Usually it will range any where from the lower 50's to maybe the lower 30's. I can't speak for Ohio, but Michigan's weather is crazy. It's like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get. ;)

We were in the 70's until October 18, then we broke 70 again on the 22nd I believe, and then it was 180 days of sub-70 degree temps.
For what it's worth, last year was a bit deviant from normal. I could go for another 10/18 though this year! :)
Yeah, it was pretty nice. It was one of those years that you thought, maybe it won't be that cold of a winter this time. But when it got cold, it stayed cold for a very very long time... We wern't seeing summer temps in Michigan until mid June I think.

Last year wasn't bad. Two years ago I caught some sleet while riding Skyhawk. I've never had a bad closing weekend trip.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
