Closest rental car company?

I did a google search looking for this, but couldn't find anything. So, hopefully it hasn't been asked before.

I used to live in Ohio, so I've never needed a rental car to get to CP. I have a bunch of friends flying into the area to attend a reunion of sorts at the point. I planned to drive two of my friends from Akron to the point (we're staying at lighthouse point), but now I'm going to already be up there when they arrive. So, I wanted to rent them a car in Akron, have them drive up to the point, and return the car there. Since I'll already have a car, they only need it to get up there.

My question is where is the closest rental place to the peninsula? Also, what company would it be. Any locals have the answer?

Other then local car dealerships, there is a Enterprise on Cleveland Road. You can rent from one of the Akron Enterprises' and return it to the one in Sandusky.

Thanks 99er. Enterprise charges an extra $50 for returning at a different location, but oh well. They're right at the entrance to the peninsula, so that works out great for my friends.

Would the airport in Sandusky have a few rental places?

Nothing came up when i put "SKY" in most car rental sites.

I don't know of anyone in town other than Enterprise and maybe a couple of local guys.

If you have a flight coming in at Sandusky airport, you probably have a limo waiting!

The airport in Sandusky is just a small municiple one.

Ahh.. Our little municiple airport has rental. Although it's like Bobs rental or something.
