Closed on Friday Nights During Halloweekends!

According to Cedar Point's website, Top Thrill Dragster will not be operating on friday night's during Halloweekends. What gives?

That is possible, but I will tell you this. I go every year for a Halloweekend and last year the Friday nite ride availability list on the website wasn't completely accurate. There were a couple of roller coasters open that weren't on the list, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I think the list is just the rides that are planned to be open. If they have enough staff, they'll open additional rides.

Well, we know the ride didn't operate (much) the last two months of the season last year. And two years ago, if I remember correctly, the ride was very unreliable on Friday nights due to the cooler weather and high winds. I'm not saying that they only got cold weather and wind on Fridays or anything like that, but it can and usually is cooler/windier at night in October. Also, given that the ride doesn't usually open on time during the peak season I doubt they'd get it up and running by 7 or even 8 PM on a Friday night. And if they did get it up and running, I don't think the park feels there would be enough people in line to consistently load all the seats.

Am I disappointed the ride won't be open on Friday's? Yes. Does this mean that I won't go? Heck No!

Compare the two.

The same thing happened last year with Wicked Twister. It was listed on one page but not on the other, and it ran (or at least was supposed to) every Friday. However, TTD was listed on both lists last year. Seriously though, I doubt they would intentionally have TTD closed.

Well it's a popular ride and I dont see why they would want to close it on fridays.

Well all I have to say is that they better not mess up it's chances of getting over 1 million rides this year.>:-(

2 1/2 hours is enough for me. Plus all of next week eh? I'm going on one of those days.....though I can't promise a trophy.

I have a trophy for my 6lb smallmouthbass that I caught when I was 11.....you can have that if you want it.
