Close Up Test Videos

As I mentioned in another post, I got a very nice look at the ride testing today (5/14/07).

Like I said before, Maverick looks great in pictures, but until you see this bad boy run, IT'S NUTS!! I'm looking very forward to riding it.

May I mention the launch tunnel "surprise". As you can see in the videos, there's a loud rumbling noise as the train launches and train crossing signals can be heard just before the launch as well. The LSM's are silent.

Maverick is awesome to see in person. The tunnel surprise seems like it will be awesome, judging solely from what I've seen and heard from outside of the tunnel. On about half of the runs it seemed the fly by's were syncing up with each other, although it was clear they were testing more than just the basic operation of the ride, as I saw several rollbacks on the first hill that seemed to be intentional.

Family ride my ass. That thing is crazy. I'm thinking that Maverick could put out as intense of a ride as the much larger brothers in the park. I can't wait until it opens up.

Yeah, if I was a little kid, I'd be doing something in my pants I can't write here. LOL!! But, it looks awesome. Thanks for the sweet videos. :) I can't wait for August to get here.

The tunnel surprise should be awesome, and I can't believe how fast that thing flies up the lift! The air-horn is pretty cool too if it remains beyond testing. The whole ride just looks faster than I would have thought.

Holy crap @ LSM lift hill! I love!

Nice vids..What is that sound when maverick is about to go up the lift hill and about to launch??..almost like a horn?..and the launching sound effects are awesome and it looks like a pretty smooth ride. i cant wait!
