Umm 99er, if you'd have clicked my link you'd have seen it was a joke to go along with Josh's post.
It's just not as funny when you have to explain it. Not that it was really that funny to begin with.

Ride on, MrScott!
Yeah, I would have got the joke if I had clicked it. But I didn't really care to much to do that. I just figured it was a real MySpace page considering just about everything has a MySpace page these days.
The King Kong at Chet & Matt's is about $35.00 with 1 topping.
They have a competition in the restaurant, if 2 people can eat it all in an hour they give it to you free, plus a certificate for another free one and some t-shirts. You also get your picture on the wall. Don't try it though unless you are REALLY hungry...
By the way, my vote goes to Cameo for better overall taste (the crust has more flavor), but they are both very good.
Favorite Cameo Pizza: Mushrooms & Bacon
Favorite Chet & Matt's Pizza: Hot Wing & Cheddar
For those of you who don't know how to get to these places...
Chet & Matts: Take SR2 to US250. Go East on 250 to Strub Road, which is just past Target. Turn right at the light. It is a big place, located on the left side of the road. If you are coming from Cedar Point, take 250 to Strub Road and turn left.
Cameo: Take SR2 to SR101. Go North on 101 to Monroe Street and turn right. Cameo is located about half way between SR101 and Front Street on the right side of the road. If you are coming from Cedar Point, turn right at the first light at the end of the causeway, next to the employee housing. Follow Front Street to Monroe Street, which will be a slight left.
Note: Cameo doesn't open until 4:00, so you are out of luck if you want to go for lunch. Chet & Matt's has a lunch buffet.

Thats not really true. I was just there on Saturday and ordered a King Kong pizza with 9 other hungry guys. The guy taking our order told me that the contest is this:
If two people can eat a King Kong pizza with two (2) different toppings on it in 30 minutes, they get that pizza free, a coupon for another free king kong, $100 cash, 2 chet and matts shirts or hoodies of their choice, and their picture up on the wall.
Theres only 2 pictures up on the wall in all of the time they've been doing it. The way I see it, if you can really eat that much pizza in 30 minutes (or 2 hours), you deserve $100.

I might have to give the contest a try next time I'm down there. Hell, the stomach ache will be worth it.
And if anyone hasn't noticed, Speedway is now offering East of Chicago pizza at their stores. (Yes, I know this isn't Chet and Matt's, but I figured we didn't need another pizza related thread).

it was a nice day yesterday so we got out our bug convertible and drove up to the season pass center. at the last minute, we decided to upgrade to an all ohio parking pass because we can probably go to k.i. four times this year instead of once. hardly any line and the process was quite painless. we went over to chet and matt's and had a very nice time. we ordered the king kong and it was the biggest damn pizza i ever did see. the four of us ate probably 85% of it and took the rest home for lunch today. with our drinks, the bill came to about $38. we'll go back in the future, without a doubt.

Chet and Matt's is pretty good. I have had better, but it is still pretty good though.
While I typically do not like anything from Michigan with the exception of the American automobile & Bob Seger, there is a place in Detroit/Farmington Hills area called Buddy's Pizza. This place is the BOMB! They are awesome!

For those who may be confused, the Front St. referenced here is actually 1st street.

I think it would be difficult to find someone that loves C&M more than I do. I'm addicted to that place... if not for the yummy pizza, but for the good memories and atmosphere.
In fact, I got a t-shirt from there way back when I worked at the park. I wear it occasionally when I'm working out or lounging around, and someone always comes up to me and shares with me their love of the place. Pretty impressive name recognition, I think!
I was in the area yesterday and stopped and picked up a take 'n bake that is now sitting in my fridge. I'm just waiting for the roommate to get home to indulge!! Mmmm....chicken alfredo.....

Does anyone know where I can find an online menu? I did a search on yahoo and google but came up with nothing. I'm heading to the park on Monday and am planning a trip there after closing time.
Any help is appreciated.
Does anyone know the hours of chet and matt's pizza? I've tried looking everywhere online and cannot find their hours of operation.
Thanks
We tried to have a King Kong sized pizza delivered to the Sandcastle Suites last trip to CP, but they said they do not deliver to CP. Anyone know why not? They deliver to all other area hotels. Since Chet & Matts is so good, there must be some way to get that pizza delivered on the peninsula and make everyone happy.

Maybee they do not want to pay parking fees to deliver a pizza. *** Edited 7/20/2007 11:11:51 PM UTC by sarah1***

Went to Chet and Matts and tried their wing and pizza buffet. It was definetly not worth it. I was very unimpressed with the size and selection of the buffet.
Will probably be back to try an ordered pizza, but never getting the buffet again.

Delivery vehicles come and go all day at CP. I'm sure they do not pay parking fees. Maybe it is a competition thing or something like that. My upcoming stay at the Breakers would be raised a level if I could get a Chet & Matts Pizza delivered to Breakers and not have to pick it up myself. There must be a solution! Here in the Windsor Ontario area, we are well known for great pizza. Chet & Matts is a match for any local pizza.
I wonder if they could get a pizza on the Pelee Island ferry from Sandusky to Leamington (or Kingsville) for delivery to me. I would order it and pick it up at the dock over here in Essex County.
Chet?/Matt?...listening?
