Don't forget, signs of those type were put up at Millennium Force and the Go-Kart tracks last year, so you can't blame this on Dan Keller. It was a change planned two years ago.

Did anyone read the ride intensity's??? Now theres a laugh. Millennium Force is 5, understandable, however Mine Ride is 5, and Dodgem is 4...a little work here??

the past, but this is an all time low..."
shouldnt Millennium Force be like 17?...lol
I think the signs look nice, kinda like something I would design. I like things to be all the same.

EDIT

It looks better! Those old signs made the place look like some toddler's play zone! And "sterile" isn't necessarily bad, is it? They could at least have the same character everywhere. *** This post was edited by LocoSpitz on 5/17/2001. ***
Ah, so we have a Communist on our hands now, don't we? ;) Depromoting individualism?

Is there ANY chance that they would bring back the character signs and just get rid of all the work they spent on these new ones (not saying that it is a significant amount).

Is Cedar Point trying to kill the character of the park? Someone once described Dorney as being "sterile." Is that the look that Cedar Point is going for?

How long before the park looks like a Six Flags?

Another one of the "little things" that make CP so special is now gone.

More information about the new signs:

While the old signs were jigsaw-cut wood panels which were obviously hand-painted and lettered, it appears that the new signs are ink-jet printed on a wide-carriage printer onto some kind of label stock. If you look closely you can see the lines shift because the printhead was bidirectional. My guess is that the new signs will be far less durable than the old ones, but will be easier to replace.

I still don't like them.

My guess is that the answers to Jeff's three questions are: Yes, Yes and ASAP.
Ugh, i really liked those signs. I hate the new ones! :(

I vote for signs like IOA with the messed up hilarious icons if we can't have our characters back. :-) Really irritates the heck out of me that they aren't there, I remember standing under the "happy barrel" C-screw sign when I wasn't tall enough to ride yet :-( I think I'm going to be sick if they show up on eBay..they should be in the park!

Hooper, you KNOW what I'm thinkin' pal...

Another downfall of the new signs is, while there is lots of safety information, it doesn't focus on WHAT THE RIDE'S NAME IS! If this was your first time to the park, imagine how confusing it would be!

For example, I was walking past Scrambler and if I didn't know what it was, I would have never been able to tell.

Bring them back! Don't have to get rid of the new ones, just bring some tradition back. They didn't hurt anyone/anything.
I think the intensity rating is measured through the force on an attraction, not the ride's in comparison to each other. I guess it's in the name of safety.

(Sigh) I suppose majority of this years renovation decisions were good. Sadly I don't think this was one of them.
