Chaos and Troika question

Why would CP take out Peanuts Playground when they just put all the money into it 3 years ago?! Like Jeff said, why destroy your ride count?

I think your are thinking of Camp Snoopy. Peanuts Playground is the area between the dive show stadium and the Pagoda gift shop. They didn't put much money into it, the just made some minor changes to convert it from Bear Country. That would be a great place to put Chaos, Troika and Super Himalaya. Then theme it to a boardwalk theme and tie in with what is already there with Wicked Twister. Eventually I see the stadium going and the entire area will be nicely opened up to the beach.

yes but what would happen to Super Himalaya considering it is part of the triangle including Troika and Chaos?

Well, I'd say that it would be possible for the Troika/Chaos/Super Himalaya crew to merge with the Corkscrew crew when Troika and Chaos are removed for the rest of the season. The crew could then rotate between Corkscrew and Super Himalaya. This is either all hypothetical or I might just need to shut my hole. ;)

Travis, I know your joking, but of course, two Chaos' wouldn't make much sense, yet Cedar Point had Dogems and Dogems 2.

What are you talking about?!? There is no Chaos currently in MiAdv and I think guests would be a little too skeptical if one was to return there.

I highly doubt these rides will be going anywhere. I would love to see Chaos right in front of WT. I don't think Peanuts Playground is a possibility... that area is too big for a couple of flat rides. I think the area by the Giant Wheel/WT is a better possibility. Troika could use a makeover/tuneup anyway.

Nitro_Rocks, I can tell you've never ridden a Fly Away........ :)

Who thinks the Fly Away is the very definition of a "oncer" and who thinks for that class of ride, the Cliff Hanger is much better...

Actually your quite right. I have't yet ridden a Fly Away but will soon. But whats wrong with it? Is it just uncomfortable boring or what?

And about Chaos and Troika, it doesn't make sense for CP to remove them. But it does make sense to relocate them by WT. It would further help redistribute the crowds, keep there ride count up, and again it would free up space for the new coaster.

To me if CP were to remove them I just wouldn't see there logic in it.

I doubt very much that they're going to drop their ride count.

Actually, the ride count will drop by one next year, but it is not a ride that will be affected by the construction of the new coaster.

If the rumor is true that Chaos and Troika are moving to Peanuts Playground, then Peanuts Express will probably be gone.

troika by the old mantis entrance, chaos by the matterhorn and scrambler area. Super himalaya can stay where it is.

What about Schwabinchen? It's an old ride and it could make some room.
I bet the ride in question to be removed is the Peanuts Express, in the Peanuts Playground next to Macaroni's.

Spill it! Whatcha know? ::grin::

By the way... the ride count does get affected sometimes. Dodgem II was taken out! Ok...back to being a "lurker" again.

You guys... it's called the "Woodstock Express" ...sorry, I had to say it!

And to add my two cents to the topic on hand, are there night time lights added over in front of the ferris wheel? Just for some sort of construction over there? I thought I saw new lights on the web cam...I could be wrong, but if I'm not, maybe the speculation about the flat rides going there are correct! ::smile::

Peanuts Express is the railroad the travels around Peanuts Playground. Woodstock Express is that coaster over in Camp Snoopy.

Nitro_Rocks, regarding the Huss Fly Away...first of all, the "seat" is covered with these circular knobs which are not cushioned. You lie down on the lower half of the passenger tub, and the thing mechanically closes like a clamshell. Or more accurately, like a waffle iron. Your head is unsupported, but rigidly held in position so you can't see much. The ride itself produces Enterprise-like forces (understandable since it pretty much is an Enterprise) but the result is just not particularly pleasant. I rode it at IAAPA a few years ago, and most of the coaster nuts (not just me) who rode it there rode it once, and declared that once was enough.
