Comfort on Mean Streak is a matter of perspective...
The new side padding makes the seat just a touch wider, and the new butt cushion seems to be a little bit lower, but the fact that nothing "gives" makes for a significantly rougher experience, even though the ride is running smoother than it has in years.
Blue Streak got that type of side padding a few years ago, but fortunately they haven't changed out the bottom cushions.

No, Mean Streak's seat cushions are now almost as hard as the back cushions. Mean Streak went from being a "bad PTC" train to being a "worse PTC" train.
CPMatt, what drugs are you taking and did you bring enough to share? Cedar Point's wood coaster trains have the higher seat divider in the middle of the seat bench. Kings Island's PTC wood coaster cars have the way-too-low seat divider combined with the secondary divider (because the other one is too low) that goes all the way up to armpit-level. Plus, the seats are wider on Blue Streak and Mean Streak than on Racer or Beast. Furthermore, Notch #3 on Cedar Point's lap bars is roughly equivalent to the "thou shalt not ride with it here" Notch #1 on Kings Island's lap bars. Sorry, but I can't imagine how you could possibly be any more comfortable at PKI than on CP's woodies.
And CP's wood coaster trains are nothing to write home about.

Last I rode Beast and Racer (which would have been last summer), I only counted one seat divider and it was definitely a much more comfortable fit than MS or BS. Not to mention I don't have to make sure I have a complete grip on both ends of the seatbelt when I'm sitting down on Beast and Racer.
Oh and Gomez, I would concur that May 9th was possibly my best day trip to CP ever. The park was dead and there was great weather.
