Challenge Park Open to the public on Sat. May 4th?

HELP!!! I am planning a trip with my family this weekend and we wanted to go to Challenge Park on Saturday then CP on Sunday. I called to ask whether I could get my season pass taken care of on Saturday when I came to Challenge Park and the lady told me I would not be able to get into Challenge Park because of the Longaberger private party! I know CP is closed on Sat. but the calendar says Challenge Park is open. Does anyone know for sure? Also, does anyone know if I can get my season pass & Joe Cool Club taken care of Sat.? I know the Season Pass Center is supposed to be open Sat. I'm hoping the lady I talked to on the phone just did not know what she was talking about! Help! Please!

We're planning on being there at some point on Saturday. The park's web site says Challenge Park is open, so I have to assume that is correct. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume TGI Friday's and some of the other places at the Breakers will be open as well. Our current plan is to have a pre-opening dinner on Saturday at Friday's.

Of course, you know what happens when you assume :) I'd call the general information line at (419) 627-2350 and see if you get a different answer.

Thanks Gemini, I think I will call again, maybe later this afternoon. I'm probably stressing for no reason but I really wanted to take care of the season pass thing BEFORE Sunday. I also really want to do Rip Cord! I guess I could call to make a reservation for Rip Cord and see if they will do it or not- that might answer my question.

I was in the same boat as you reguarding the season pass processing situation. The latest info on the park's website says the season pass office will be open from 11AM-9PM. The season passholder's newsletter says 11-7PM. I was worried it wasn't going to be open at all for a while, but all info now points toward it being open. I plan on being there sometime in the evening to get my SP processed. As for Challenge Park - I can't imagine the operating schedule on the website being wrong so its probably open, but I guess I'd call to be 100% sure. There's always other things around Sandusky to do to kill the evening if Challenge Park isn't open.
