Cement under turnaround ?

I recall this being mentioned but not in depth . I was wondering if anyone thinks the station maybe round with the turnaround. or just some kind of tunnell to the station. I do not understand why they would make cement walls under the track.. if that is what they are doing which it looks like that. and I was also wondering if anyone thinks there will be in any tunnels. I think a launch in a tunnel is cool . and safer... "just as fabio"... anyway dont yell at me.... if this is lame.. just curious of others thoughts.....

It's not under the track, it's next to the track. I don't doubt that all the dirt in front of it will be pushed right up against it. It's a retaining wall for landscaping.

DELETED!

It looks like the rebar for the wall is reaching around the turn and heading towards the hill. I think its just like Jeff said, a retaining wall. They will proably push dirt up to it and create the illusion that the cars are running on the ground and then taking off into the air. Just a thought.

There are several launched coasters, launching in tunnels..

If they had a tunnel, and put fog machines in there, that would be cool. The fog would even lube the launch track. :)

I heard hulk had a fog machine in the launch tunnel, but the residue from the fog formed on the launch tires so it couldn't launch. Since #16 doesn't rely on friction to launch the trains, it would work.

I hope they build up the ground to the track through the whole launch because being that close to the ground will make it feel like your going a lot faster.

And on the ground next to the launch track they could put lines, so when your flying by, the lines would be zooming by at a very fast pase.

And in 3 years when the fog machine no longer worked, or not turned on (*cough*Magnum*cough*)... you'd be complaining that they should have the launch out in the open so you could experience the launch open-air.

I wouldn't be surprised if a portion of the launch is enclosed in a tunnel...
yeah well there's not going to be a tunnel. go cry.

Got One! This is a forum. where people discuss,, and exchange thoughts. maybe you should come back when your tall enough to ride the coasters anyway.....

Gravity, that commet wasn't necessary.

A tunnel, especilly if its filled with fog, would add to the coaster. Will #16 get a tunnel? Only time will tell, but it probably won't. If it did get a tunnel with fog effects, and then not run in 2 or 3 years, why do you think I will complain? How many times have you seen me complain before?

I don't expect very much out of any park, but if they have things that excite me, great. If not, I still enjoy myself.

It's your opinion that it would add to the coaster. It's mine that it wouldn't. It's also mine that people in general (The comment wasn't intended to be directed at you, I should have worded it differently) would complain after a few years had any such 'theming' failed to work.

I do not think a tunnel would add anything to this ride whatsoever. The intensity of the launch is the main attraction of this ride. The launch track is running right alongside the midway for people to ooh and ahh over. Why hide it in a tunnel? It just doesn't make sense.
