Cement Pilings Between Peanuts Playground, Coliseu

I was at C.P. back in June and I noticed these pilings between the Peanuts Playground, the Coliseum, and Schwabinchen:

The bases seem to have fresh cement around them, but the pilings do not seem to be serving any purpose at all. Nothing is touching any of them. At first I thought they may be part of the playground, but once I noticed them behind the Coliseum by Schwabinchen I changed my mind. You can see one of the pilings in the food court area, outside of the Peanuts Playground....it is in the back-right area of the picture.

Anyone have any ideas? It is probably something very obvious that I am missing.

Those have been there for a while, for at least a year I think...so far they seem to have served no purpose at all, and I don't think that they are for any new attraction....

These pilings were originally ment for a fence to enclose the area for some reason. Theres a better explanation in

Monster...thanks for the information and the link, that explains it. I didn't realize that they have been there for so long.

I don't think CP would leave them there if they weren't going to use them eventually...
