Cell Phones on rides

Now..ive ridden alot of coasters with my cell phone in my pocket. I wear it in a zippered pocket...have any of you ever had any problems (color blips and scrambling) on your cell phones?

In before some armchair park police officer yells at you for having your cell phone within 5000 feet of the park.

Most of my cargo shorts have a cell phone pocket inside the botton pockets, so I'm set. If I'm wearing jeans I just put it in my regular pocket and the lapbar usually holds it in.

you want a cookie or something for that?

RaptorKing - Never had a problem with mine. It stays in my pocket and I've never had anything happen to it, even on Magnum after riding 1-3.

It stays in my pocket just fine. I've never had a problem.

In fact, I used to carry it on a holster or leather case on my belt. Never once had a problem. My new phone is so small, though, that I can just carry it in my pocket.

I've never had a problem.

the raptor and magnum have taken 2 of my buddys this year all ready...dumbass's

Mine got a preassure crack in the small LCD on the outside. Sucks...oh well, never used it anyways

dont let the dragster op see your phone....I had mine in a change pocket, real small pocket theres no way It was comming out, but the op made me give it to a ridder with a zipper.....

Top Thrill Dragster....Always number one

ok..thank you all.

This year I had to take my moms cell phone because mine is broken. I had my dads clip and leather case. It was fine for most of the day and then we decided to go on the Chaos. I cliped it so the phone was clipped inside my pocket. While on Chaos my phone fell out of my pocket and flew out and hit the metal fence. When we got off I went to a person who had picked it up. It didn't have a scratch on it. It would have been broken if it wasn't for the leather case.

You know most warranties cover pressure cracks ;-)

Huhwhat?

Anywhoo, I bring mine on all the rides (within reason, no TTD or anything) just in my pocket or in my coat or something. One thing my cousin likes to do is put all his (and my) crap just inside his coat and zip it up, nothing ever comes out.

GeeForce....a color blip is where a big color spot ..usually blue surrounded by pink and yellow is on your screen. And i do have a warranty...but it takes two weeks to get a new one..and i pretty much need my cell.

I carry mine in a fannypack oe a zippered pocket on all the rides including ttd and nothing has happened

Top Thrill whoo hoo

It's the oddest thing... somehow my camera phone keeps getting these pictures on it from the tops of Dragster and MF. This is an inexplicable phenomenon. I swear. Really.

I did almost lose my phone on TTD once - had it in the inside pocket of a denim jacket, and at the top of the hill I could feel it sliding up my chest during the air time. Caught it right at my neck! Ever since then I try to wear shorts with cargo pockets, or leave it with a non-rider. Good thing some people are still afraid of the big bad dragster!

"Bring back the Penguins!"

I wear cargo shorts. I can take both my cell phone and digital camera on TTD and MF because of the open sides. On Magnum and such, you have to be careful because the bars comes down on the side of your legs, instead of the middle like MF and TTD.

Top Thrill Dragster - 15
Millennium Force - 15

I carry my phone in a normal cargo pocket, not always with zippers, and have never had a problem. When I was at SFMM however, I was on Scream and another rider on my train had his cell phone fall out of his cargo pocket, not zippered, in the middle of the ride. It all depends! *** Edited 6/9/2005 5:18:35 PM UTC by Top Thrill 182***
