10 years ago CP launched their own website. Cedarpoint.com (original huh?) Anyways that website has changed a lot! They had 12 coasters back then and the website was a lot different. Does anybody have any words or comments about this?
It's amazing how much technology has advanced since then. I mean, compare today's website with the archive one Walt posted in the news from 1996.

That's from December 27th, 1996.
2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator
Was CP one of the first amusement parks to go on the web? 1995 seems very early for the internet.

Graphical browsers were pretty new back then. Text browsers dominated before graphical. The internet itself has been around for over 30 years.
I think 1995 was the first year Internet was introduced. Can you imagine if that was Cedar Point's website today? We'd all be freaking out.
HEy!!! Where did the moving rides go at the top of the screen. LOL!?!?!?!
Anyways, This was brought up in an earlier post, but I thought that would rejuvenate (SP?) it. If you direct your IE browser to www.waybackmachine.com, you can see the CP site through the years. That website is pretty awesome. It works for a lot of websites
2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3
Umm, think again. Mosaic was released in 1993, and Netscape came out a year later. I've had internet access since about 1993.
The internet has been around way before that, it just wasn't until then that it was a place for anything more than a bunch of geeks.
The internet really started getting commercialized in early 1995, and by commercialized, I mean mainstream where it became readily available to millions of people (mostly by AOL).
History lesson for the day.

I think you better change that to .org - www.waybackmachine.org or some of you will get quite a rude awakening.

Spell out your words, son. This isn't instant messenger.
I remember in college, 1994, on the back of a girl beer label seeing http://zima.com/"]http://zima.com/. Had I not been in college, I might not have known what that even was.
And yes, Mosaic was quite capable by then. I remember seeing porn on the net that very year. Can't see that with a text browser! *** Edited 11/18/2005 11:21:36 PM UTC by Jeff***

You may not have been able to see it with a text browser, but you could at least download the files to a floppy disk and open them later :-)
Oh the days of the Medina County Freenet... :)
