Cedar Point's Website

With a new ride coming next year, don't you think Cedar Point could use a new website?

Wouldn't Walt make an obvious choice?? ;)

Cedar Point's website is sad compared to some of those fan sites, like VM.

I don't know, for a park website, Cedar Point's is the best I can think of. I don't really think they need a new one.

Well besides the Halloweekends intro the website hasn't changed all year. I think they could fix it up a little.

Welcome to the Wicked Twister.

They have been continually changing it all year,

WT banner, season passes, background changing, feed back link, Halloweekends, skyline update, and this is only since june, when I got the internet. It has been contually updated by the webmaster.

Who is the web master anyway?

If you compare CP's website to that of ANY SF park, it's awsome. CP's website has so much more information on the site, along with stuff like 3 WEBCAMS! Also if you compare CP's site o any other CF park sites, it looks pretty good. I don't really think there's anything wrong with it.

"Welcome To Alaska"!!
2002 Totals: | MF:60 | WT:25 | Maggie:90 |Gemini:60 | DT:30 | Raptor: 50 | Beaver net 4.0!

It gets its intended job done...and does so without much clutter at all. That's enough for me.

I would like to see more of a new construction area like on VM, but CP has the best website compared to all the other official park sites.
They will once it is announced

More SF bashing in this forum, kind of funny, but it is true. Didn't CP receive an award last year or sometime for having the best park website?
Yes they did. They changed it either during or after the 2000 season from a snowy Magnum background to having MF in the background and changing the site configuation. This year they added pics of WT on the intro. I'm sure they'll change it again next year for the new ride.

If it aint broke...

I agree I have been to the competeitors sites (Paramount's and Six Flags) and CP does have a better site Paramount parks (In my opinion anyway) don't have as much content wise and Sf is just too clutterd.
If you want a website that needs a little improvment, go to Michigan's Adventure's Website.

Welcome to the Magnum XL-200, the coaster featured most on the Discovery Channel.

I like Cedar Point's website. Although I believe that they will need to make a small change to the skyline picture at the top of the website once the new rollercoaster is up. If it is gonna be 100 feet taller than Millenium Force than there is not enough room at the top of the website skyline pic for it to fit! We might see a small change there next year!!

I liked it before Halloweekends when you could click on the big picture and it would give you a different one. I think they should do that with Halloweekends pix.

Magnum is Red,
Millenium Force is blue.
I love Wicked Twister,
and Raptor too.

I was looking at the CP website from archive.org and found a Power Tower camera picture from June 2001. The picture was taken of some person's desk and a Cedar Point cup. I couldn't seem to get the link posted. If you really want to see it you can just go to archive.org. I thought it looked weird and I bet they were cleaning it.

Superman: Ride Of Steel-
almost as good as Millennium Force
Actually they just did update the website if anyone cares. Now on their homepage you can pick a non-flash version which is great for us folks on non-Windows systems that do not have flash available.

What OS isn't Flash available for? I know it works fine in OSX for me :o/

There are many UNIX systems that do not have flash available (and for those that do, you are lucky if you possess the permissions to allow such an installation in a corporate environment); let alone Macromedia, Quicktime, etc. etc.
