Cedar point/lake beaches??

Hey there! I know there may be multiple other places to ask/put this topic but I figured this may bring about the best/quickest answers and conversation

I am going to cedar point on a Monday and Tuesday in a couple weeks but we are arriving in Sandusky in Sunday. Years ago I heard that the cedar point beach is open to anyone and you do not need an admission ticket to access it. Is this still true? I understand we would still pay for parking but if we just wanted to do the beach/swim Sunday evening is it worth it or just find a public beach along Sandusky shore line?
Thanks for any information

There are plenty of beaches along lake Erie - but there's a big reason that this particular one became "The Queen of American Watering Places". I'd highly recommend spending the evening at the Cedar Point beach - especially right now that they have games, volleyball, live music and access to the Surf Lounge (other restaurants too, but Surf Lounge is the easiest to walk up to and get food and drinks, which can be taken on to the beach.

Glass bottles aren't allowed, but they don't say anything about cans or cups.

Just park in the Soak City lot, and drag your stuff toward Hotel Breakers - you'll see the boardwalk and the beach. It's wide open, so have at it. I've been known to spend a lot of time hanging out on the beach, but I have yet to dedicate a whole day without going into the park at all. I plan on changing that in the next few weeks.
