Cedar Point/Geauga transfers

Can anyone share which flat rides are moving to CP? These rides are replacing the Peanuts Playground on the side of the Colliseum arcade opposite the Macaroni restaurant? Is Oceana goingto be demolished as part of this? Won't this give them the most rides (75)? I can't seem to find this info.

I wanted this topic to focus strictly on this move and not on other parks.

Thanks.

I just found info on one of my own questions. The Peanuts Playground is being removed. I was wondering why one of the webcams was focused that general direction.

CP has yet to confirm anything outside of what you already know.

The webcam isn't focused on Peanuts Playground though...

Are we still unsure of the name "Planet Snoopy" or has that been announced yet?

2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator

My guess is that is just a working name, kinda of like how Microsoft will refer to the next operating system as longhorn or something until the official name is determined. Either that or it's just purely a Screamscape shorthand reference.

The camera is not directly focused there, but it seems to me to be a teaser as it is a wider shot like when they first started building Dragster. It would be a lot nicer if they mounted it on the Colliseum Arcade or the entrance to Macaroni's though.

I'd like to see them bring over Starfish the most. They used to have Schwabinchen and Trabant, both now gone and I think this is a good family ride. They could actually use Trabant's old spot as well, though this is a little walk from that area. Thriller Bees is also an obvious good choice. Beaverland mine ride would be good. It would also up there "most coaster" record. Texas Twister doesn't fit the "family" factor as well, so I'd guess no go there.

Oceana's demolition would also free up a lot more space for this.

The existing props from the Peanuts area would make a good charity auction as well...

^Microsoft should use the working name "Piece of Junk" for every one of its operating systems. On a related note to that, I heard a rumor that Google is making an operating system!

Back to the issue at hand. I'm sure no matter what rides CP gets, the new area will be awesome. I have a feeling that it'll be themed pretty well too. Hopefully this will be a good continuation of what we saw last year, and another sign of where future projects are going (with regards to theming of course).

I guess my post didn't go over well. Here's what is confirmed:

- Peanuts Playground is being replaced
- 5 unknown rides will be put from GL
- Peanuts are still going to be at the park in 2008

THAT'S IT, no Planet Snoopy, no webcam, no 500 foot coaster, and no Nick characters.

Now let the discussion go on about nothing really.

The Google OS rumor is more than likely Android (look it up).

A regular OS wouldn't be a smart thing to do during this day in age. There are three major players right now: one is dominant, one is growing like crazy, one is geek central. I'll let you decide which is which. :)

Microsoft nailed it with XP. Why they went and made Vista with a whole new Kernal memory system is beyond me.

But other then me being sick of Microsoft bashing you are mostly right.

I thought it was 7 rides.

Proudly running Ubuntu 7.10, loving it 1000x more than XP or Vista. Get Linux. (geek central)

I guess it's really a matter of opinion. I think for the average person XP is absolutely perfect. Now if I were to say XP was a perfect OS then yeah, I would add a winky. :)

Ugh. I really don't like Ubuntu much. True die hards use Slackware. :)

I am glad that at least some of the rides will be enjoyed at Cedar Point! I know that I am still upset about how the DOminator is now over 7 hours away! At least they didn't ship that to India like they did to the Corkscrew! It seems like every time I find a ride I really enjoy, it gets moved!!!!Hopefully they won't move the Raptor of the Gemimi soon!
