Cedar Point Traditions

I was talking to this lady that I work with, and she and her husband have been going to Cedar Point for at least 5 times per year for the last 6 years. She was telling me that they always ride the Raptor first and at the very end of the trip they will ride the Big Wheel on their last night. That brought me to think about you guys. It seems to me that there are several of you that have been to Cedar Point countless times, so I was wondering if there are any traditions that you have done and that you are willing to share with all of us.

Maggie is always first ride of the trip/day. Its also usually the last of the night (if we get there in time). It is one of those rides that is priceless at night.

Maggie was the first coaster I took my girl on. Her first coaster ever. She loved it.

We always ride Iron Dragon first, cuz my wife says it's a good warm up coaster for the trip. Also, it seems to be a tradition for us to try to ride Power Tower and have it start to downpour and have the ride close.

Magnum first, Magnum last. Always...

We always listen to Mmmm.. Skyscraper I Love You by Underworld on the way up the causeway...

Power Tower first. I like to get a good look around the park befroe I start the day. Millennium last...love it at night!

We always ride Demon Drop first. No line...a quick thrill...and at 10 in the morning it packs a punch!

Then its off to random rides throughout the day.

I guess this is the last year we can do this. :(

Well I only have been going to CP since the summer of 03, but I think riding the Gemini as the first ride I go on when I get to the park has now become a tradition.

Demon Drop, Raptor, Cedar Downs in that order to start the day, and buying fudge/taffy after riding Space Spiral at the end of the night.

The first time I got every year, I park in the front lot and start the season with Blue Streak. Every day after that, I park in the back lot and start the day with Magnum. Millennium Force is always the last ride of the day.

always end the day with the carousel.....nice wrap up to the day

Raptor First.... always and front seat too.

The first ride of the season for me is always Raptor that is pretty much my biggest tradition.
