Today i was at the pack, and i was wondering is it just because it was a Sunday on Holloweekends that first off Mantis was running 1 train. Then i dont know if it was just because it wasnt working right or something but Skyhawk only one arm, and even though the wait for Gemini was like 20-30 min they only ran the blue side. I dont know if it was because it was Holloweekends or not, but it was bad.

Very often I have noticed Skyhawk only running one arm in the morning hours. I attributed it to the fact that they didn't have enough riders to fill that one arm.

I can see Gemini running only one side because they don't have enough workers to staff both sides.
The tend to run one arm of Skyhawk and less trains on coasters when there are less people in the park.
That's why I can't stand going during slow times. The park just isn't the same.
I was there the first weekend of Halloweekends and Skyhawk was only running one arm. I looked at the arm itself and there was a cable that was disconnected that ran to into the support columns.

Did you know that Watermelon tastes like apples?
I was their all weekend and on Friday night when I was at Skyhawk we just managed to take are seats when we were told the ride was closed due to mechanical reasons. So we got up and left and later when we came back they were only running one arm. They were also running one arm operation all day Saturday.
i dont understand that either i was at the park all weekend fri sat and sun and yesterday it seemed less packed then today and they were running both cars on gemini, and i know yesterday mantis was down for a while and they left the train just sitting at the top of the hill for a couple hours. Mantis was probably expiercing more technical difficulties.
Skyhawk has been running with one arm for a few weeks now.
The one arm is down for maintance reasons.
But yes like many others have said, CP runs less trains with lower attendence.

Skyhawk's right arm broke on Friday like Big Jon stated. Also, it is very common for them to run only one train on Gemini on unbusy days, like Sunday. As far as Mantis, as slow as that crew is I'm not sure it matters if they run one train or half a train...but only one is rare for Mantis.
Promoter of fog.
Capacity (excuse my French) sucked today! Big time. 2 trains on Iron Dragon, Magnum, Gemini, Disaster Transport and Mean Streak; 1 train on Mantis. Now it would be one thing if there were no lines, but I waited 35 minutes to get on Iron Dragon! I think Corkscrew was only running one train, that or they were only dispatching one train every 8 minutes or so.

On Saturday the 30th while I was in line for Dragster, I was talking with someone who was in line for Mantis earlier in the day. He said that everyone exited the train onto the platform and the brakes on the next train malfunctioned and ran into the back of the train in the station, sending it 6ft. forward (according to him) After this happened Mantis ran one train the rest of the weekend and the other trains were sitting down underneath by Iron Dragons lift hill. Just thought I'd throw this out here and was wondering if anyone else heard about it.
The other train has been sitting down under the transfer track since July.

Mantis was running two trains on the afternoon of the 30th.

Were the crowds very light, or something? Either way, CP is known to run at high capacity even with light crowds. Disappointing to hear.

No, the crowds weren't overly light, which is what made it surprising.

Today was a bit of an odd day at CP.
But I did manage to get the last train of the night in the front seat on Millennium Force without even trying, which I was super suprised at because I can usually never do it on any rides... even when I try to do it.

Definitely a strange day -- the crowds were heavy enough to keep TTD's line huge for most of the day, and even line up Iron Dragon... but to leave Raptor and WT as walk-ons by mid-afternoon, and MF never appeared longer than a half hour.
Unless I saw this incorrectly -- they were running both arms of Skyhawk in the morning. Just as I got there to try and ride it (late morning) they shut down the right arm and the exodus from the queue line began...
Gemini was running two trains on the blue side. The Mantis confusion struck me as odd, as well. It would have been a walk-on for most of the day if they were running more than one train. MF started the day stacking all three trains (slow loads!) but that seemed to get better as the day went on.
I was on the second-or-third-to-last Dragster train, first time ever in the front row.

I didn't make it on the final train of Dragster, but was one of the last few. Glad you enjoyed your front sead ride Zo.
Nice to see you again Drew. Sounds like you had a great end to your "relaxing" day. :)
I was just glad we had nice weather on Sunday, after the rainy mess on Saturday.
I can't speak for the rest of the rides, but Magnum was running only 2 trains Sunday due to lack of staffing. It was bad to have to wait more for it than Raptor!
Mantis went down Saturday morning. They walked people down from lift. The train sat up on lift for quite some time. That night, we had heard it was a computer glitch.
I think the fact that it was a beautiful day Sunday, is what brought a lot of people out.
