I am a little worried that there is going to be a storm when I go to CP on Sunday.
I looked at the forecast and there's going to be a PM thunderstorm. I was right several times about thunderstorms many trips ago about thunderstorms.
Any advice?
Weather forecasts (particularly long term ones) are often unreliable. If you can be flexible with your plans, I would wait until we get closer to the 28th to decide if you want to go.
In July and August, its not uncommon to get an afternoon thunderstorm. Typically does not last long.
As noted, there are things to do at Cedar Point when it rains. My daughter and I make an annual trip together to the park. 3 or 4 of our last 5 trips have involved some rain. We spent some time in the arcade. Watched glass blowing in July 4th this year. One year we spent more than an hour in the museum. Read/saw things there that I have never seen in 50+ years going to the park. Unless there was a very high chance of all day rain, we would never postpone our annual trip.
Rain can scare away part of the crowd. Some people may decide to stay home if rain is in the forecast. Other people head to the gates if there is rain.
