Not to beat a dead horse, but by now most of us have probably seen this commercial for 2013 --
I know it shouldn't bother me, but it does that they continue to use generic Cedar Fair commercials that show coasters from other parks in addition to some from CP....
In addition to the commercials being too generic, no one understands the "thrills connect" slogan. I thought when Cedar Fair was going to choose a well known marketing firm like Cramer Krasselt, the commercials would really improve.
The radio advertisements I have heard are actually pretty good though.
The whole "Thrills Connect" thing is a targeted advertisement for families, meaning that the thrills of the park brings families together, which could be argued that is does, so long as everyone is tall enough.
I would also argue that the entire marketing division has improved significantly, though there is always room for more improvement.
As for generic commercials, its just a matter of cost. Its cheaper to make one commercial and cut a few seconds out for the name at the end of the commercial then to film park-specific commercials for 12 separate parks.
i know so here is my story i'm watching Tv and I see a roller coaster and that gets mt attention it talks about gatekeeper and then it goes to the thrills connect commercial and i see some ride from another park i was like OK how come they are advertising for cedar point and there are no rides from cedar point then at the end they show something similar to mantis and i'm like i don't know if that is the mantis or what i don't know if this helps but it irritates me also
Have you ever heard of punctuation marks, capitals and grammar? I believe the rules for their use is in the guidelines to post.
