Cedar Point Surveyors

Alright, so I've been at the park 3 times already and I've been stopped by Surveyors atleast twice a visit already, asking me different questions about the park, season passes, and Cedarpoint.com. How come all of a sudden Cedar Point has had so much of an interest in what people really think about the park that they decided to hire a bunch of surveyors. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen this in past years. They don't bother me at all because I don't mind giving them my time, I'm just curious, that's all. Thanks.

The surveyors are likely the result of my post in the Disaster Transport thread about how Cedar Point needs to connect with customers' desires better to improve their business going forward.

No, in all seriousness, I haven't seen them this year yet, but this sounds great. The more customer feedback, the stronger the business.

If you don't mind, what particular questions were they asking?

The park has them every year. They seem to be more focused in the beginning of the season and then slowly die off the further into the season you get.

Aw, you got me all excited. When I read 'surveyor', I interpreted that word in a completely different way...

My thoughts as well.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

Same here. They have always had these people. This is how they came up with Shoot The Rapids. After WWL was taken out they asked people what they would like to see at the park and water ride was the answer. Atleast thats what I have read.

Too bad the people probably meant "water ride that won't soak you to the bones." WWL was nice because you didn't get soaked like on SRF or TC. Then again, I don't know how wet you'll get on StR... I just assume from what I've seen/heard that you'll get drenched.

^From what I saw when they were testing the boats that don't fit, you will get soaked on STR. The bottom of the second drop hill has water spraying across it that will soak everyone.

Just look at the pictures of Tony riding it. Your obviously gonna be soaked.

I ran into a surveyor at the front gate last year. From what I remember the info he collected was my age, whether or not I was a season pass holder, my address, and I think my favorite ride. It's really nothing more than CP just collecting demographic data.

Sorry for the late reply...

When I went they asked me if I have seen or heard Cedar Point advertisements via radio, TV, billboards. They also asked what my favorite ride was. They asked what kind of ride I would like to see in the near future. They asked me if I was a season pass holder (regular or platinum) And they asked if I usually eat at the park. I said no to the last one because of the prices, so hopefully they take action on that because I'm sure a lot of people answered no to that question
