Cedar Point Special Events 2025

https://www.cedarpoint.com/events

The Special Events page has been updated to included Winter Chill Out (February 22), CoasterMania (June 6) and Boardwalk Nights (July 18-August 17).

Winter Chill Out is $100/person this year with tickets going on sale Tuesday January 21 at 10:00 AM.

"Thank the Phoenicians!"

Am I reading this correctly when I say that this year's sales are back to the "old" system (no lottery)?

Tony confirmed on twitter there is no lottery

So it will be a different group this year whining about not getting tickets. People living in their parents' basements and who are online all day will be happy. And people with jobs who can't be online at 10am hitting "Buy Tickets Now" will be upset. Am I remembering that right?

Wait.......are you pre-emptively complaining about not getting tickets? Congratulations, you're the "different group"! ;)

Sit tight fellas ;)

I went last year. And although its a great event that I enjoyed (would recommend for anyone who is a fan of Cedar Point), its very much a "one and done" for me. So you are correct, I am in a different group. :)

I'm confident that this list isn't the firm & final list. The park will likely add events throughout the year. I also applaud the park for leveraging WCO ticket price as a means to both raise more money for charity and also rein in the demand a bit.

The first time we went was 2012...it wasn't even the Winter Chill Out. It was the Po!ntBuzz Off Season Tour. We had tickets every year, until the lotto began.

Back then, tickets were $15 and even included a long sleeve T-shirt...which I still have a dark blue and a light blue

I believe they capped the number of tickets at 100 only.

We like to think we are Throw-Backs from the beginning.

With the massive expansion of this fine dining establishment, clearly it has outgrown being utilized for a "fest". Also, this key employee is unavailable as he's filming a movie set in Sherwood Forest.

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't bring back Total Eclipse of the Point. That was without a doubt my favorite special event that I have been lucky enough to attend at Cedar Point.

Next total solar eclipse in Sandusky is September 14, 2099.

Eh, that's not a good excuse!

All joking aside though that was an incredible event. My teenage kids were even talking about it a few days ago and how cool it was. I am looking forward to Boardwalk Nights as well, it was another one we enjoyed last season. I'm hoping that it is just like I remember, but better than before!

Last edited by JUnderhill,

I really wish they would go back to having the tour self guided. The last to years have really put a stain on the event.

I've heard like everyone that some ruined it by climbing on rides? Idk, but self guided flowed much better. Last year it was the restrooms, the year before my group spent over an hour waiting by maverick because other groups ahead were running behind.

Would've been nice.

There’s one little problem with expanding happy friar. Woodstock Express is right behind it.
