Last weekend, I tried out Point plummet and loved the speed these slides produce. The part that makes me a little nervous is standing on that shute door until they drop you. The reason for that is because I'm worried my feed will get uncrossed and I'll go down the slide in a funky way. Anyone else kinda get that nervous jitter before they drop you? I'm sure that will go away after I get used to them, but man what a drop and great speed throughout the slide.
Those are the ONLY attractions that still scare me, and I love them for that. I don't think my feet have ever stayed crossed initially and I have to recross them. Trying to steady yourself is just reflexive human nature in a situation like that.
Has anyone else noticed that the yellow drop slide feels super slow compared to the others?

Personally, I am stoked that they are bringing back the dive-in movies! I went last year and it was a unique, fun experience. They even took me up on my suggestion of Jaws, which I half jokingly suggested last year. If you have platinum or are staying at breakers, it's well worth the trip, even if you have seen the movie before.

Has anyone noticed if the waves are back on rennagade/runaway river? When I was there Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, there were no waves when I was going around. I contacted the park on the comment/question page but have not heard anything.

The scene Saturday and today (Sunday) getting around Perimeter Rd to the back was insane. We stayed on Point for the 5k and had a great time in the park, but it was really packed when we drove out today at 1pm to go home. They were turning people around as the Gemini lot was full. The backup was all the way down the Causeway. Crazy crowd, seemed like a nice weather Halloweekends Saturday. Shores was absolutely mobbed, I saw a couple lines down to about ground level. The heat brought out an enormous crowd. People arriving to get to on Point resorts had a long wait thats for sure to get back there.

Strange, because I was here today and I didn't wait more than 20 mins for anything. Cedar Point Shores, on the other hand, had every slide at ground level. Minimum 2 hour waits for slides.

They allow the most disgustingly obese people to walk around without shirts and make other people sick, yet those who have to wear shirts not because of weight issues cannot ride the new slides? That did not make a good impression.Well, aren't you charming.
So the park treats everyone, even "the most disgustingly obese people" the same? How rude of the park. Will you be posting a picture of yourself demonstrating you have no body fat whatsoever?
We used to find a tree and drop our towels and sandals while we would take in the attractions. Now, we just dropped them in a random corner and hoped they would be there when we came back.
So you like to leave your personal belongings lying around in plain sight. Not clear on why this would be something the park would be concerned with. Why not rent a locker and ensure your belongings will be secure?
Really?
Really.
How awful that a business would treat all its guests the same, even "the most disgustingely obese people". And, sorry, but I don't have a high opinion of folks complaining that they can't leave their stuff lying around on the ground.

Your stuff isn't any less safe in a random corner than it was under a tree. I have a favorite corner and if that corner happens to be gone (I doubt it) I'll find another one.
Anytime you leave your stuff lying around you take a risk that it will be gone. Your problem, not the park's problem.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Well, now that I know people leave their belongings lying around willy-nilly, I'm planning a trip to the Shores. I bet I'll collect some cool stuff.
To be serious: stuff may not be any less safe in a random corner than under a tree, but stuff would be much safer in a locker. If staying in a hotel, why not leave your luggage in a corner of the lobby rather than in your room? That way you could take out what you needed for the next day as you passed through the lobby.
I'm afraid I just don't understand the viewpoint here.

I purposely don't bring stuff in the water park that has any value. I can replace my tracfone for $20 at Walmart, bring under $10 in cash, no license or credit card. My passes can be replaced for $15 each and are of no use to anyone unless they look just like me or my kids. Most of my clothing is from the thrift store so unless my shoes fit you there's nothing worth stealing there. Really the only thing in my bag that would seriously put a knot in my panties if it were gone is my van key because I will want to go home at some point. My preferred corner is also someplace I can see most of the time. Just because a bag is sitting on the ground does not mean it is truly unattended.

[Stomps feet, remains confused]
I'm a cheap bastard, I'd rather spend a few dollars on a locker than $XXX replacing stolen passes. And more so when it involves my vehicle.
And unless a member of your party is sitting by your belongings during your entire visit, your belongings are indeed unattended.
[Stomps feet more, just because it's fun.]
I'm not trying to be difficult. I just don't understand the idea of leaving things I value in a place where they're not protected.

My friend put his shoes in those little bins outside of Thunder Canyon and when he came back, guess what? The thief musta gone shopping for those 13 W's cause everyone else's shoes were still there.
After searching through every nearby trash can, he had to walk barefoot to the Marina Store and buy some keds.
I hate that my car key is also the key fob now. In the past I could just put my car key, along with my credit card/ID in my pocket and have zero articles to leave anywhere at a water park. That is basically what I do now when I go to the beach minus the key. It still lives on the beach under my towel, oherwise everything of value that can get wet is in my pocket and anything of value that needs to stay dry remains in my car.
