I think it would be cool if high schools would offer a cedar point enthusiast club. Throughout the year several trips to the park could be taken with a fee payed either early on or per visit. It would be a fun thing to do, and it could easily be done at the school I go to since it is really big and there would be a good amount of kids that would sign up. I've never heard of anything like this before and think it would be a great idea.

There have been organizations set up for something like this in a couple universities in Ohio. Their focus is more on the engineering and design behind coaster and park construction though, so that might be a way to tie it nicely into school. I am not sure just having a club that's sole purpose is to travel to Cedar Point is going to fly with the school officials signing off on the club.
The other problem is that Cedar Point is only open for a short time during the actual school year if I remember correctly. Therefore I am not too sure how a non-colligate school would handle school backed trips when they are not in session.

I didn't write it earlier, but what you said about applying engineering/physics/design into the trip is what I'd envisioned occuring. And yes, Cedar Point is not opened for most of the school year, but there would still be plenty of opportunities to have a trip. For example, at the beginning of May a sign up sheet could be posted with a trip every other weekend or maybe even every week, depending on the teachers' and school's choice whether or not to do so. You can pick and choose which days you'd want to go on the trip, and each trip could be limited to the first however many people sign up so it's not mobbed. Each trip could also be cancelled if not enough people sign up (which I don't see happening but it's a possibility). And my last day of school is Friday June 8th, so June trips could be the first weekend of the month and the one right after school ends. A break could be taken over summer, and then the same monthly sign-up would return once school resumes and runs until CP closes. So the idea really isn't that far fetched, it's only the willingness of the school and teachers that would determine whether or not something like this would be a success.

When I get to High School I would soooo join that. I know a lot of people that would actually join that.
Favorite coaster: Millennium Force

Then make it happen. Seriously. The only way these things happen is if a student speaks up and makes it happen. So go do it. :)

I think the hardest part would be to find teachers that wouldn't mind going on all the trips, but if me and a couple of my friends were to actually convince them and the school to do this I'd be so happy.
