Cedar Point: Queen of the Watering Places

I was just wondering if anyone read that book. I have I bought it in August at the marina gift shop. I've read most of it.(I'm a slow reader!) I thought it was pretty good. What does everyone else think about it?

Great book. I bought four and gave some away as presents. I even made a quiz.

Oh. That's not what you mean.

I've read both versions of the book, and own a copy of the later one.

I think the one I have read is a bit outdated.

How recent is the newer version, Dave?
I have found some mistakes in it but overall, a great book to read. Some of it's information is on Cedar Point-on-Lake Erie.

I think the original version (salmon cover) was published in 1992. The later version, which is mostly the same but with a few more typos (including one on the cover which forced them to do a paper wrap cover) is dated 1995. (Dave pulls the book off of his shelf) Actually the original edition was 1988.

( Joe E finds book in "coaster" section of bookcase) I somehow have the original version (printed 1988). According to it the last thing added to the park was Thunder Canyon. I am too young to even remember the opening of Thunder Canyon so how I ended up with this book I dont know.

I own and read the 1988 version (believe I purchased it in 1992). I haven't looked at the newer one too closely. Is there any important difference between the two except for the last chapter in the 1995 version that highlights some of the newer rides?
I thought it was interesting to know that the forward was written in my home town Wadsworth, Ohio. I think thats also where they run the www.cedarpoint.com website. Anyone wanna back me up on that one?

The firm that runs it is in Wadsworth, but the server itself is in Virginia or something.
