For computer class I have to make a power point. I want to do it on Cedar Point. It has to be 10 slides long and must include either audio and/or video. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should make the 10 slides of?
I did a presentation just like this my senior year of hs. I had slides for the history of the park, the coasters, all other rides, food, records the park has broken, and a few others. For a video I used a POV movie from one of the coasters. Good luck!
I love PowerPoint! I use it everyday at work. We have monitors (TV's) mounted on the walls in our break rooms and I am responsible for keeping them updated with information. They run a continous looping show with company info, current weather forecast, stock price info, etc. I try and keep it to 40 slides, but it sometimes balloons to 70.
In addition to Casanova's excellet suggestions, you could also do your presentation on constuction events at the park. There is a lot of stuff out there on that subject, dating back to Magnum's construction (MF and after are easier to find though)
Google is your friend. Use it and have fun!

I did a huge project about Cedar Point last year. 10 slide power point, 4 page report, invented a game, brought in all of my CP stuff, made two quizzes for the class, and so on and so on. Trust me, it kind of ruined my Cedar Point experience for the 2005 trip.
It certainly satisfied my craving for the park but to the point I wasn't as pumped up to go. It certainly was fun though! ^_^
(Is there a place I can figure out how to make this blogs smileys?)
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

Also you could add a slide about Cedar Fair, most people dont kow that Cedar Point is part of a bigger network. And don't forget Soak City & the resorts. I'd go more general and focus on a few specifics (ie-records, age of park, how its grown, etc..)
Speaking of school projects, I just gave an informative speech today about CP.
Most people in Missouri havn't the slightest idea about the park.
Well I was thinking I could use Cedar Point's website with the history part for 5 slides,my first slide could be where Cedar Point is located, Soak City/Challenge Park for 2, TTD and MF for 2, and other coasters/rides for 2.
Any suggestions or comments?
sounds great! does this have to have any meaning to it, or is it just a project about power points?

He just said you need to make 10 good slides and be able to explain them in detail. It should take about 5 minutes.
So I was wondering if anyone had any favorite pics of coasters/the park/vidoes I could possibly use for the project.
P.S. How do you shorten a video such as the TTD POV. I want to put that in, but I want to take out the beggining and the end for time purposes.
you can download a trial of Ulead video studio at www.ulead.com and shorten it witht hat, its ver simple, if you want i have some collages i have made from pics off od CP's website i could send you, i have one of Millennium Force, TTD, Magnum, Raptor, Mantis, and Wicked Twister

I had to make a Powerpoint about 4 years ago for my 8th grade english class. It had to include a sort of thesis question that was to be answered in the rest of the presentation. My question was "Why do people ride roller coasters?" I used all Cedar Point information, but it was really cool.
Anyway, as far as pictures go, here are some that I took of Top Thrill Dragster, another TTD, Raptor, Mantis, and Gemini that you can use.
Good Luck, and be sure to post your finished presentation.
