Cedar Point Police = epic failure in enforcing smoking

I noticed more enforcement of the no smoking rule this year. But there was a couple walking right down the TTD midway right in front of the photo booth.

They then passed an officer looking directly at them. They were smoking, and he literally turned his back around and started talking to another police officer there and did nothing.

I wanted to go and get his badge number and report him, but I wasn't feeling up to it. He could have probably arrested me for assaulting him by asking him to read his name tag.

No I figured with my luck this weekend though I would probably end up in jail :)

I noticed lots of garbage cans seemingly placed right in the way. As if you had no reason to not put garbage away, but when you have to squeeze by a garbage can every 12 feet...

No I really felt the park made a few big jumps. Music was playing in many different ride queues....
Trash cans are placed in spots in lines that make them unavoidable, so littering is not an option.
It seemed as if there were more no smoking signs, more verbal announcements by ride ops, and etc to not smoke. The opening weekend crowd was very behaving in that aspect.

That's annoying. I got behind a lot of people smoking where ever the hell they felt like it, but to see a cop turn his head and look the other way is completely unacceptable.

I rarely enter through the front gates, but they need to be bigger hard asses about the policy. Start with big signs at the entrances that say, "Smoking outside of designated areas is cause for removal from the park." How much would you bet that Six Flags Great America isn't having any problem at all, after some high profile boots?

yes, people were smoking all over. and i get sick when i smell the smoke, it makes me dizzy and sick to my stomach.

Here Come the Irish!

I'm a smoker and it urks me to see people around the park (which I did see on Saturday) not obey the rules of the park by smoking wherever the heck they felt like it.

I sometimes have to walk a distance to have a cigarette in the designated sections, but I would rather do that then risk getting thrown out of the park.

I was in line for raptor sat afternoon and there was a woman smoking in line. I used to smoke and waiting an hour in line you can wait. there was a group of kids behind her that were obviously annoyed by it. If you want to put in a chew while in line that is different, but smoking in line i dont like. I wanted to say something, but im not one to create an issue.

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

I too wanted to say something to the guy that was standing at the bleacher seats by TTD, but I didn't feel like getting into an arguement and have it ruin my day at the park.
