Cedar Point on Travel Channel

I know a lot of people (me included) like to see Cedar Point on television, so I thought I'd let you know that Travel Channel aired a show about the Great Lakes last night, February 4, that featured a pretty good fifteen minute spot about Cedar Point at the beginning.  The program also featured Great Bear Lodge and Put-in-Bay.

The show was called Travel Channel Secrets, Great Lakes: Secret Playground of the USA.  It featured Robin, Dan K, and even Monty.  Check it out if you get a chance.

hmmm

Will it air again???

It aired quite a few times over the Christmas season. The Cedar Point part is quite nice though, they say Millennium Force is 360 feet tall and mess up a few other facts(called Magnum MF) but it still is pretty neat. I enjoyed the Great Bear Lodge part of it the most(perhaps its because I have stayed there). They went into the water control room of the lodge which was very cool and explained how the water park operated.

My, guess is it will air again. Like I said it aired several times already back in December and January, so I bet it will air again. All in all it is worth seeing.

My wife caught part of this but I missed it.  If you all hear that it will be running again will you post a note here?

Thanks!

If you click on the provided link above, you will see that it WILL air again...several times.

The Great Bear Lodge water park was awesome!!
Man, I can't wait till May so I can get back on the 352ft tall Millennium Force!

That must be why  MF seemed taller this year...   A little adjustment over the last winter....  Now if that really was the case....

Then reality sets in and I realize MF is still 310 feet.

What? Now Millennium Force is sinking?

Personally I like the program listed there called "Harley Mania".  Pretty much sums it up for me.

Millennium Force is not sinking, but according to the show it's growing!

2Hostyl, As I and several other stated, the show said that Millennium Force was 352 feet tall. So that means the ground must be rising instead of sinking... :)

What I found a little funny is that, theyw would talk about Millennium Force and would show a POV but when they show a reverse POV or interviewed people they were on Magnum(or in Magnum's station).

For all you that missed the last time it aired, like myself, it will be on tonight at 7:00.
That show had lots of goofs. I counted about fifteen goofs alone for Cedar Point, let alone the other parts of the special.
Its too bad it had so many goofs.  I watched it for the first time last night and found the CP part (and even some others) to be pretty entertaining.  Seemed like every 30 seconds, I was yelling at my TV saying, "No its not!!!" or something similar because of all the goof ups! :)  I didn't like how it seemed like they were asking people who had just ridden Magnum about Millennium Force.  Of couse they are going to say something good.  They think you're asking them about the ride they were just on! :)

I usually like the Travel Channel, but after watching this special I don’t I think I can trust any of the information they give.  It’s not like they made one or two mistakes.  Don’t they have fact checkers that go over the program before it airs?  My favorite was them saying (twice) that Sandusky was 20 minutes from Cleveland.  I wish - maybe if you’re in a helicopter!
