if my phone were cool enough to download apps I would most definitely have this!
If I were still working at CP it would be really awesome too, since I would be able to see how many pointbuzz people were there on a daily basis

Got my own page on the cedar point blog!!!
I was in the Android market today. The MyPark App is now available for all Cedar Fair parks except ValleyFair! and Michigan's Adventure.

Has anyone gotten the location features to work on the iPhone? I've tried it on three different visits this summer, and each time the app claims I'm not in the park. With Ride Hopper, usually when this happened I could go to Google Maps and see that the GPS itself was at fault, but with the CP app that's not the case; the phone knows exactly where I am.
I was looking for this app and it doesn't seem to be listed for Cedar Point anymore - does anyone know anything???
Well I can tell you that WddOnline was the group that created it. Also the application was pulled due to unknown reasons. It was also slightly slow, and seeing as the copy I still have of it on my phone doesn't work I would say it also has issues with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).
My gut instinct is that it was pulled for one of two reasons or possibly both:
1. The contract with WddOnline is over seeing as they did not design the new websites and thus were discontinued for the official Cedar Point application.
2. The application had too many bugs to fix, so the source code is being completely re-written with the exception of the package naming convention.
Not sure though because if the contract with wddonline is over then Cedar Point will have to look else where.
There is another application in beta though that is a fan guide to the point called "The Guide to Cedar Point." It may not have a lot of the features the other did but is useful on ride information.

IIRC, the company who redesigned the sites is going to redevelop the apps. Didn't hear anything about a time line.

Just wondering if anyone has heard any progress on this subject? I mean, we're t-minus 29 days from opening day. Hopefully something comes out, I liked the convenience of the app when I was at the park.

I agree. I really enjoyed that app (and still do). I have it backed up and some of the features still work. I would like to see a new one though.
I just downloaded that app. It's called "Cedar Point" and distributed by accesso. I can't tell if they made it or if CP did. Accesso is the new online/mobile marketing firm for CF, so it's legit. The app itself is well done; the map is pretty much to scale and it even has Celebration Plaza without Wildcat; the UI is easy to navigate; it even gives you the days show times. There's a friend finder under trip tools. My "pin" is 31339. I don't know if it saves over a period of time, but feel free to add me. I only have an iPod touch, though, so you'll only see me if I'm in Donut Time or the Breakers.

Just downloaded and checked it out. Acts like the "my park" app, but seriously improved.

It does not appear to be in the android market yet.
