Cedar Point most embarrassing moment

In honor of the upcoming season I would like to know some of your most embarrassing moments at the Point. Please don't be afraid to share, it happens to everyone.

Haha, ok well I rode Power Tower one time and I usually don't like these kinds of rides because they really make me sick. As we were exiting I threw up in front of everyone.

I went to CP one summer right after high school, and we went on CCMR. I was sitting next to my friend Brandon, and my friends Dan and John were seated behind us. As the train left the station, Dan, wanting to make some sort of statement about the restraints, unbuckled his seatbelt while grinning at the ride op.

So they cut the power to the lift hill, and sent someone out along the catwalk to yell at Dan, which in turn made everyone else on the train mad at Dan. They had no choice but to cycle us through the ride. As we got off, Dan was collared, and told that he was banned from the ride for the rest of the day. I was guilty only by association, but everyone involved was pretty steamed at us.

Another time I couldn't understand the accent of the Maverick ride op when he told me that I couldn't wear sunglasses on the ride. I think he had to repeat himself about 5 times, delaying our departure, of course.

I've never puked at any amusement park, knock on wood.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

While I was working on a saturday night during halloweekends last year I was on my way from Giant Wheel to Raptor because I had just helped with breaks at the wheel, and as I passed the exit ramp at MaXair a guest had just gotten off the ride, ran to the ramp and puked from about 4 feet above my head and hit me on the leg. Not only did they throw up all over my leg but it was around 40 degrees and there was actually steam coming off the puke. I could not beleve what had just happened to me...

Was walking to maverick and my friend 'snot rocketed' and it hit me right in the arm. A big, green, nasty snot that stuck like glue to my arm. He laughed as i tried to wipe it on his shirt..jerk

First time to Cedar Point was opening day 2009, 7 hours in line for TTD, 2 rollbacks =)

Soak City... The lifegaurds blow their whistles.
I keep looking around for who their blowing it at, only to find after like 5 minutes that its me.

These are all too funny.

Break Trims, the last one about not being able to understand the ride op, that is not embarrassing, it actually makes me mad that they hire people we cannot understand. They might be in that International program, but if you are from a different country going to work in another country, don't you think you should learn their language first?

raptor2417, LMAO that's funny because the same thing happened to me and I was telling the same exact story. Except I was in line for Wicked Twister.

My embarrassing story is when my girlfriend and I just started dating, we went to one of the haunted attractions during Halloweekends (mind you I rarely get scared at haunted houses, but this one time was an exception) One guy dropped down from the ceiling and i was like o crap and accidentally spit my gum out. We get back to the hotel and my girlfriend is freaking out because 'someone' spit gum in her hair. It happened to be the same color as mine and everything, but til this day, she still doesn't know it was me.

Back in 07 I was a ride op on Corkscrew. Every morning I would go in early to work and ride Maverick, then change and head to Corkscrew to get ready for the day. One day while riding in the morning, the train became stuck in the block brakes before the station. I had to call Park Op's and let them know I would be late to work because I was stuck on Maverick. My supervisor came out and gave me the slow shake of the head in shame while I waited to get off the ride.

ops! haha for me it was getting stuck on Magnum when I was 9 when roller coasters freaked me out to begin with! but working there this year im sure there will be more

I hope she does not read this site!

Anyways, I was walking down the midway in front of the Hot Summer Lights screen and I was talking to my friend and was not paying attention. I ran into a trash can and almost fell. I cannot think of anything worse.

Peace, Mikey

2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3

Back in 2005, my first ever visit to CP. I was walking near the resort entrance looking up at Dragster, not watching where I was going. I walked straight into a girl and dumped her soda all over. I offered to buy her another but her and her friends just laughed and kept walking.

Back in '02, after working two straight PO-C's, I was so tired. I showed up for work the next day, and my TL and ATL were laughing their butts off at me, and I couldn't figure out why. They asked me if I had a wet walk to work. I looked down and I had forgot to put my shoes on. LOL!!

I'm too sexy for my harness!

Mikeybo2004, No I doubt she will ever come across this site.

Also, I witnessed a kid doing the same exact thing (walking into a garbage can) at the same exact location. Maybe it was you! It was a garbage can that was like right in the middle of the midway between Iron Dragon's queue and Wildcat, but a little closer to Hot Summer Light's screen. I will laugh if that was you because the person I witnessed that happened to hit the can so hard and kind of fell on top of it.

Well, this happened a long time ago back in 1989 I believe. This is when Iron Dragon had a long wait and at 6 years old you get bored in the lines. My Mom had dressed me in some tight jean shorts (that was the style back in the '80's) and as I was swinging on the queue rails. Well I had squatted down while holding onto the rails and heard a loud rip! I had split my jeans shorts right down the middle in the back. Now to make things worse, we rode Iron Dragon and decided to go ride the Dodgem's next. Well the ride host checked my seat belt but it wasn't put on tight enough for a smaller child. As I was looking for my sister to hit, I leaned forward and someone had hit me in the back. My lip hit the wheel dead on and split it wide open. So I jumped off the ride (as it was still going by the way) and ran to my parents who were watching us. They took me to First Aid to clean up my cut, and while we were there they fixed my shorts by stapling the rip. All of this happened within the first hour of being at the park. I had to spend the rest of the day with a swelled lip and a stapled ass! By far the worst and most embarrassing day at CP!

Last year we were on our way to the Point and it was my first time back to Cedar Point since the off season started. We were about 4 minutes from being in the parking lot when I told my best friend's dad to pull over. I hopped outta the car and puked in front of my girlfriend, and all of my friends family. I was a little to excited for my first time back. :)

Let's Get Weird.

A few years ago on a school trip to cedar point a friend and I waited 3 hours for front seat on TTD. Once we finally got on the train I pulled down the restraint and somehow it pinched me bringing blood, ride ops noticed the blood and made me exit the ride to go to the first aid station. They told me I could come back when it was bandaged and get my ride. So, I went and got it fixed up, and then it began a long day of rain and TTD going down repeatedly.

Eventually we finally got our ride about an hour before we had to leave.

I've also seen numerous sea gulls toy with people and poop on them and such haha

Wow, I thought I had some embarrasing moments but you guys take the cake.

One of my most embarassing moments at CP wasn't really my fault. I was walking with a group of friends and we passed one of those annoying weight/age/birthday guessing stations. So as soon as we walk past them the employee working there throws something at me and right when it hits me she says catch. I just ignore it and walk on when she then calls me a little punk so everyone walking by can hear. It kind of got me upset but not for long.

I also randomly trip in the park everytime I go.

Everytime I have been to the park since 2007 I have been hit by a Sea Gull. Not on rides...Just walking around. It doesn't hurt it just scares me because I don't expect it!
