Cedar Point History app gone?

I was at CP yesterday and scanned the QR code on one of the history placards to download the Cedar Point history app and it just spins and never loads. Is the app gone?

Thank you, Jeff. :-)

I was able to get the app downloaded but it crashes every time I try to open it. That's a shame because I used it a couple of times in 2020 while I was in the park and it was a neat app - it would give you interesting facts about wherever you were in the park, the rides and buildings and such. I guess that after the 150th they just deleted the data. Oh well!

Another reason why apps suck, and aren't necessary most of the time.

I’m at colonial Williamsburg and they have an app but doing anything other than reading very generic information it took you to their website. It was so irritating that I had to go to their website to get information. I caught myself saying many times why doesn’t the app just contain this information? Why do I need to go to the website? Why I have an app if it is useless?

Last edited by Shades,

Founding Fathers never had an app. Next you will expect air conditioning too. :)

Nice read, figured I needed a little historical perspective. What happened after 2018 to stop the updates? Any plans to add recent events?

Yes, it's on the to-do list.
