Cedar Point Halloweekends vs. Kings Island Haunt

1 and 2 links yes I say they are equal. Actually if anything CP's is more immersive. Yes the Tesla Coil at Haunted Lab is cool, and unique, and kinda fits the theme. But there is no detail. It's just a room with Chain Link and the Tesla Coil.

When you walk through Hexed you know where you are from the first room, a witches house. Every room (except 1 or 2) are very easy to tell what they are as soon as you walk in. And they all fit the theme of the house.

While Haunted School House and Lab have rooms like this, it still throws in rooms that have nothing to do with the theme, just because they are cool. Nothing wrong with that in the least, just I think that incohesiveness, lowers their rating in my mind.

And the last picture is not Ghostly Manor. It is Lake Erie Fear Fest, which yes is at Ghostly Manor, but when I say Ghostly Manor I mean the manor itself, and usually during the off season (they add a bunch of stuff that doesn't follow the theme during October just to add stuff) I probably should have clarified that from the beginning but oh well.

This is all my opinion of course but hey this is a subjective matter in the first place :)

And a PS I have worked at all 3 locations either current or in the past (and a bunch more also) from Actor, Staff, and Tech so I am pretty familiar with all the locations.

Lol, you clearly don't spend time looking around in the rooms..

There are a few "bodies" one near the fence, one on the ground, several lights, hazard signs, the ground around the coil is all done up, and the wall behind it. It isn't just a faraday cage and the coil, you just haven't been looking. Some sets in the schoolhouse you can be completely immersed in. Take for instance the attic scene in the schoolhouse for instance. Thunder, wind, trees rustling, actual wood crashed through the side, etc. Take the cemetery in the schoolhouse that has actual dirt hauled in up there, and a lot of it. Or the vertical wind tunnel with all sorts of broken floors, etc. in it. How about the bathroom scene. It's original, it has great scares, and a much higher attention to detail.

Hexed was good, but it can't compare itself to that..at all...it's a lower budget, pop up building, with generic and store/convention bought effects. I'll take 90%+ DIY, on site made, unique, original, and first of it's kind stuff. If it wasn't good it wouldn't be open 41 years now and set the bar high and continually getting awards from the non inflated and made up rating magazines/sites.

It is subjective, but my oh my how can something as bland as Hexed, even with Skeleton Key, compare to a Tesla Coil, car, graveyard, schoolroom, attic, Draculas Castle, Frankenstein's Lab, Dungeon, and Mortuary...CP hasn't and can't come close to that top in house quality, ever..There's a reason Midnight Syndicate filmed there and not at CP for the video that needed props & whatnot..
