Cedar Point DVD

Has anyone seen "The Roller Coasters of Cedar Point" DVD? Is it worth buying (or are YouTube videos just as good) and how often do they put one of these out?

I have it, it's pretty good, but I'd just wait for a new edition considering Maverick is about to open.

You can find some of the videos on Youtube illegally. I know I've seen Raptor on there.

I won it in the Cedar Point Coastermania photo contest a couple years ago, and it's pretty good. No replacement for the real thing, though. I'd imagine there will be a new one this year for Maverick. As was stated above, you might want to wait. What I'm definitely looking forward to is the new version of Cedar Pointopoly

There should be alot more info on the new ones. It was basically all POV's

I own it, as well. It's well produced and entertaining...any CP fan would enjoy it!

For what it was worth I enjoy watching it everytime. Very cool information for the time it actually is. Plus I like watching BS's POV from when it wasnt blue.

The only thing I dont really care for is the "ARE YOU READY?" video. The shots were cool(my fav being the shot from PT in the fog with the crest of Magnums lift poking about the fog line), but I dont care for the music.

I bought the VHS tape before Wicked Twister and Dragster came out. Last year I got the DVD. Both are very good, and tell a nice history of the park as well as POV video's of the major coasters. Wildcat and CCMR would have been nice also, but oh well. We worth the $20 or whatever they were. And before I get swarmed with messages, No, I am not selling the VHS tape. :)

The youtube videos aren't bad, but the DVD definitely has the highest quality POVs you will ever see. I'm glad CP (and other parks) have caught on that people like POV videos and choose to sell good versions of them. I hope it discourages others from trying to sneak video cameras on rides.

I only tend to get the new DVD every few years. I think the current one is only up through 2003 since there is no mention (or sight) of MaXair or Skyhawk. Then again, some of the POVs are shot from up to 5 years ago, since you can't see Dragster in the background on some of them.

It only makes sense to video tape the new rides as they are added, and re-use footage of rides like Raptor, Mantis, Millie etc... as long as colors or track layout has not changed.

Why would people be swarming you with requests to buy the VHS tape about Cedar Point from you when Cedar Point still sells them ???

^Are people still buying VHS? Heck I'm looking at the whole blue-ray/HD-DVD thing already.

Blu-Ray is awesome. I just watched one on my PS3 in 1080i, it is really nice. I want to see a MF POV in 1080i, that'd be cool.

Blu-ray would be pretty cool, but I'm still looking for the Cedar Point laser disc.

CP has POV's of all their coasters except DT, WT, Woodstock Express, and Jr. Gemini on their website.

The dvd is really cool my only complaint is that it is not long enough. They could have done a whole hour for a subject like this. I always watch it before i go to get me hyped up.

Blue-Ray is a joke and so is the PS3. Doesn't mean much coming from a 360 owner though.

360 is much better than PS3. Why give all the Japs the money. They bombed pearl harbor. I have been lucky though. My father is on is fourth xbox. He keeps having to send them in because they overheat and fry the processers(sp?). My friend also had to send his in for the same problem. He is on his second. Mine has not yet malfunctioned. {Knock on wood!} They replace them with no questioned asked and no money. Mr. Gates even pays the shipping.
