For those looking to find Cedar Point discount tickets or Cedar Point coupons, I've updated our discount guide to show the latest deals. There are many places to get discounts, but the most common are shown. Most places are right around $7.00 off.
Also, the park has announced a promotion for college students - $9.95 off with student ID and coupon.
EDIT: Link removed... this is a very old post and as such is dated. When we find discount opportunities, we'll post them in the "heading to the point" link at the top of every page. -Jeff
I think the college student discounts are a great idea. I know a lot of other places (movie theatres, online stores, concert venues, sports teams) that provide similar offers to college students, so kudos to CP for doing the same! This has probably just make the likelihood of me visiting CP in the month of June a little higher... ;-)
So it looks like the Pepsi can discounts are gone? That sucks. That's the one I'd always use because it was simple. I don't even drink Pepsi. LOL!!
They're not gone. It's listed on that page.
All the hotels offer a discounted ticket to the people staying there. But it is only available if you are a guest of that hotels.

I noticed you said with Student Id and coupon. What other coupon?
That's an awesome discount for us college kids :)

ahhhhhh. i got it now. i didn't see the column heading of "phone". i thought the "N/A" meant the discount was not available.
good deal.
i'm going to be staying at LP. does anyone know the exact discount guests get? i know we get one, but not how much.
On tickets? Buy a season pass if you'll be there a couple of days and may return for Halloweekends or visit another CF park, like Michigan's Adventure.
I buy a season pass every year, so I can't advise on discount admissions for daily peoples.

$31 for a Funday, no discount on the $25 starlight. If you're staying for 2+ nights, you get a coupon booklet with 4 free passes for Challenge Golf, 2 buy one-get one coupons for Soak City, a 10% discount coupon for several restaurants throughout the property and a $5 off coupon for Rip Cord. There may be a couple others I've missed as well.
Basically, with a resort package (package = 2+ nights), you get the coupon booklet mentioned above, which also contains 2 Funday passes, 2 Starlight passes and the other coupons. Plus, you can add additional Funday tickets for $31 each.

I am staying at Castaway Bay in June, I e-mailed them and I was told that single day adult tickets can be baught there for $32.
First trip June 23rd
Wow, the Student ID thing surprises me, although I think it's really cool. I guess they figure they'll still make some money off them, and that they'll be purchasing drinks & food in the park.
I see it more as targeted marketing. Before late June, the K-12 set is still in school---this is just a way to pump up attendance during two otherwise slow months.
I saw a commercial the other day with Pepsi discounts at Kennywood. I'm about halfway between Sandusky and Cleveland, obviously they're free to advertise anywhere, but I'm surprised that I haven't seen any similar ads about CP/GL discounts.
