I don't know what the odds are, but after 59 entries to the contest, we have a tie for first place. A tie in and of itself probably isn't that rare, but the two winners posted the EXACT SAME ENTRY. So congratulations to Kally and Magnum Is Sinking for winning Common Entries - Part II.
The top ten entrants (and their misaligned scores)

Sounds like someone did their homework together :)
If I had only put a little more thought into that last question ....
I think I prefer "Rare Entries" :)

That's the beauty of this game. I have no idea what the correct answer is. If posed the question in this game's format, I probably would have guessed 1000 -- not because I think that's how many trees there are, but because I would hope that more people rounded to the nearest thousand rather than the nearest hundred. Even then, it's a SWAG on my part.
The same logic was used by the folks who answered "Blue Streak" for a ride that has been there more than 30 years. There are several, but since roller coasters are the most popular rides, go with the roller coaster and hope others are like-minded.
Millrace said he had a system for determining the number, but again -- it's not about guessing the actual number of trees. It's about predicting what the majority of your fellow contestants will choose.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
The odds are good for two people to have the same entries if they tell each other what they're writing and enter the same thing. Not that I'd insinuate that this happened here, because the two people who won are not dating or anything.
Also, I am not "just bitter because I lost" because I did not enter this time. It's just an amusing phenomenon.

Well, how on Earth did that happen? Sigh. I suppose I have only one thing to say. If your not cheating, your not trying hard enough. I am not saying that I cheated of course. It's just an interesting tidbit. Lol.
I am just kidding. To make sure there are no hard feelings, I'll sit the next game out. I did not think I'd win.
