Cedar Point just posted on their FB page that there was bowling there at one time. I think that was cool. Anyone got some more info on that?

I believe those would have been in the Grand Pavilion.
There are many interesting tidbits in Cedar Point's history. For a number of years, the park bottled its own soda pop.
I agree that there is alot of interesting history in the park. I would love the ability to travel in time to any year in the park.
On a side note, rather than make another topic, I think we should be able to embed FB and Twitter posts on this site. That would've helped in the first post.

They're long out of print but do turn up on Amazon, ebay, etc now and then -- but if you're interested in Cedar Point history look for
"Cedar Point Yesterdays" by Charles Frohman, a Sandusky local who wrote several books on the history of the area, including this one.
"Fun at the Old Cedar Point" by Glenn D. Everett; the book is written as if you were visiting the park in 1935 (the writing is a bit much at times; he was too fond of his "we're time travelers" conceit, but on balance an interesting read.
I'm reading "Fun at the Old Cedar Point" right now actually.
