Cedar Point Beach sand

Has anyone heard that rumor that Cedar Point imports the sand on its beach from california? The sand is amazing compared to most Lake Erie beaches which are usually more full of little shells than sand.
I agree, the sand is fabulous. Just laid in it acutally. lol
But no, I have no idea if it is imported.

Magnum still rocks.

I believe the sand is imported, although I have no idea where it comes from. I have seen it being spread out at the beginning of the season.

I do not know where the beach sand rumor started, but I would say it would have to be false. There is nothing there to support that.

They import the sand from a factory in California. I would know because I work there and help pack the sand every offseason before it ships to Cedar Point. It's fun.
My friend has the same sand at his beach on Lake Erie, east of CP...it's natural.

What's a sand factory?

The Amazement Park

Oh, boy. Cedar Point imports sand from California because sand is not available in Ohio. (We ALL know that.)
I don't know.
I'm with Seth Oakley on this one, i live right down the street and the sand there is pretty much the same as it is as CP's other than we dont bother to comb it out like they do down there.

Also, KEEKLEZ, is that sand factory you work at right across from the chuckie cheese you said you visit with your prostetic leg that fell off of wicked twister?

No, it is not. It would be cool if it was though, since I go to both places every day anyway.
ITs prolly false. Lake Erir does have some nice beaches. And CP combs their beach a few times a day/ [Which removes all the rocks/shells, ect.]

Do you have any idea how costly it would be to ship the amount of sand at Cedar Point from California? It wouldn't make any sense.

The Amazement Park

It's not that much money, DemonDroppin'

Trust me. When we pack it up they always tell us how much it's going to cost, and I'm like "okay."

ok KEEKLEZ, i trust you that its not alot.

....Hows that prostetic leg comin anyway?
