Cedar Point App Update

This may be a really stupid question, but I've been wondering if you can use the app for entry to the park or if you need your physical pass.

You can put your pass in the app. You can actually put your entire families passes in the app as well. I used my phone to get meal plans or wherever I have showed my pass before. It also keeps up with the number of visits you make to the park.

Except for some minor 2015 vs 2016 verbiage in the app, my season pass shows correctly in the Carowinds, KI, and CP apps with correct visit count.

No, I already put it in, I just want to know if you can use it for admission in the app without having the card with you.

Out of curiosity has anyone tried to have their pass stored in the CP app scanned at another park such as KI or Carowinds? Or do you currently need to download each individual park app?

I hope the future drives a single app for all CF parks, access to each park map, ride times while in the park, etc. I'm the type of person who has as few apps as possible on my phone.

As someone with a 128 GB phone - Bring on all the apps!

Can't believe that their website still shows the app running on an iPhone 5c. "Download the Latest Version" and a 2013 phone don't go well together in my opinion.

The 5C, while no longer sold as new, is still a viable phone that a lot of teens have. Plus, the color matches with the background.

Pay attention to some news sites, they still have what looks like a 3G to represent a phone. Most people aren't going to pick that apart

It's a QR code of your season pass barcode. It's the same in all of the apps.

No one cares what phone it is. Any phone will do as long as it looks like a phone.

Oh well. Maybe I'm the only person who gets bothered by old tech. Personally, I would be much more compelled to get the app if it showed a larger screened phone like the iPhone 6s.

I kept my last phone for three years, and technology is my job.

Speaking from Geezerville, I've had my phone for three years and don't necessarily know how to use all the features YET.

I don't even know how old my phone is. At least it's new enough to have a full keyboard...

I know someone who was forced off of their StarTac phone about 4 years ago because the carrier could no longer support that analog signal.

Other than needing to be constantly plugged in to be powered on, that thing was a tank!

I'm fascinated that your objection to the app is that the phone in a picture isn't fancy enough for you.

Me too, it is interesting to see what some people consider important and how their thought process works.

On my way out of the main gate I noticed that Cedar Point still had the old Instagram logo up on the sign. Thankfully I didn't punch a baby. I'm too much of a priss for that.
