Cedar Point affected by power outage?

Is the point being effected by this huge power outage?

I was about to ask the same. On their web cam, it doesn't look like Millennium Force is moving. I've been hitting the reload button over and over and the train is still at the top of the lift.

13ABC news is reporting that riders are stuck at Cedar Point.

Man I would love to be up on the Millennium Force lift, what if they can't get power to the escape vehical? This is some crazy stuff going on.

Millennium Force has internal combustion engines available for both the lift mechanism and the funicular. Power or no power, they'll get it moving.

That's good to know, but what about the rides like Power Tower? Is it possible for the car to stop at the top (Turbo Drop)?

The webcam for Cedar Point and Cleveland.com is not working. I would REALLY hate to be stuck on the sky ride. MF will have to unload without the escape vehicle. I don't know what Magnum would do because of the block brakes. Are there ladders or stairs at the breaks?

I guess it shows how much of a CP geek I really am - That was the first thing I thought about... Wonder if CP lost power :D Then they had a guy call in 760 WJR who was from Sandusky and they had no power..

What a crazy day

I was actually on my way to the park when it happened, and the traffic was so bad when I got off the turnpike I had to turn around.

I was suppposed to be up there today, good thing I'm not, it would be cool to be up on Millennium Force though. Maybe it is a good thing my dad couldn't get off work, that would suck to be up thee and probaly every ride being down.

Ok so as of right now the word is that CP is affected and that rides are stopped. I heard that Sandusky is out of power.

The park closed at 7pm today!

It was just on the local Cleveland News at Channel 5.

Man what a mess, will this mess up any of the rides computer systems or anything?

You mean Dragster is down AGAIN tonight??? When are they going to fix that thing??? Can't they get anything right?

Surprisingly, everywehre south of us and east is out of electricity(im in michigan) we havent even had a flicker and were supposedly "effected" So does anyone have any info about rides getting stuck or anything?
