Cedar Point today added a blog to the park's official web site. The new feature - "OnPoint!" - is the park's first official blog. The blog is written by Public Relations Representative Tony Clark and Group Sales Representative Tyler Adams.
Interesing...
Even though they obviously work for the park, they are taking on the roll of investigators getting the low-down all over the park. I wonder if this could possibly tie into the addition of a new attraction. So they would do blogs about part sitings and construction instead of Monty's journal entries.
If CP got the idea from Holiday World then I can see why they would be so willing to do it, especially after having it generate a thread over 1000 posts long with people trying to figure out what's going to be installed next year. It's a great, (nearly) free way to create a lot of buzz about a new ride. And as I recall, that was the major reason for holding off on Dragster's announcement in 2002.

I think it's a cute idea! I worked with Tyler in 2002 and he's a pretty funny guy, and I think he'll do what he can to keep it interesting. Obviously, as is true of all Cedar Point employees, I'm sure they're not allowed to disclose anything w/out park permission. But the addition of the blog definately adds a personal touch to the CP website.
