Cedar Fair's Other Parks

Okay in the conference call for Cedar Fair it was said 40-45 million would be spent next year :

Heres the question....Cedar Point 13 million now however how much will go to the other parks? I believe Valleyfair is getting a inverted because we know WoF isnt getting a coaster an Dorney just received one.Also Knotts will be getting 1.

Then next year 2003 WoF an Michigans Adventure I believe are getting one that year. So what do you think is going to happen?

Also when is ValleyFairs announcement or did they already say?

Cedar Fair announced $20 million worth of improvements and rides so far. They have announced CP, MA, and WoF. That leaves KBF, Valleyfair, and DP(DP will most likely get very little or nothing.) So there is $20 to 25 million left. If they are planning to spend $40 to 45 million.

I think DP is also getting some sort of a flat ride. One like Aero 360 at Kennywood.

Argh, I want an Aero 360 at CP...except it probably wouldn't look as cool as KW's without those mega giant acid-trip arrows on them :-/

KBF will get the bulk of the remaining capital expenditure budget...it was sort of implied during the conference call.

You can categorically rule out any major coaster construction at VF for '02. CF's million-visitor-per-year parks only get large cap expenditures every 4-5 years; VF just had theirs last year (Power Tower). What Screamscape has told you is wrong, wrong, wrong. I've been telling Lance he was wrong all summer and giving him reasons why each 'supporting fact' was wrong, too. He just refused to listen.

VF will be extremely lucky if the got a mere Vekoma Boomerang, much less a spin-and-spue or anything at all. I'm guessing any major capital dollars spent in MN would be going KCS-MOA's way. KCS-MOA usually depends on tourist dollars and they weren't there this year. In fact, VF radio and TV spots almost vanished during the peak season in favor of KCS advertising.

But don't feel sorry for us. VF could be hoarding their usual $3 million annual expenditure budget to hasten the arrival of B&M steel...

You could always use the red CP pendant rather than the arrows. Or if you wanna be cutesy or quasi-chetto, you could try giant Snoopies.
