Cedar Fair is the 6th most visited park chain in the world behind 6 flags and Busch. Cedar Fair's attendance numbers: 22.1 Million visitors.

Cedar Point did not rank in the top 25 visited parks of the world but that is most likely because its not open all year.

Cedar Point did rank #16 in North America with 3,120,000 visitors. Right below it at #17 is Kings Island with 3,050,000 visitors.

Cedar Fair's most attended park is Knotts with 3,630,000 people, and Canadas Wonderland with 3,250,000.

Interesting, but I have to question how they come up with numbers when nothing is ever publicized.

The numbers tend to be wrong. Ditto when the "study" was commissioned by the now defunct Amusement Business.

numbers are close, and there is publications on Cedar Fair's website, not exact details, but its also been rounded in many newspapers, travel channel specials, etc etc. You just gotta pay attention

Yeah, we all know Cedar Point does "about" 3 million visitors. But where are they getting their numbers for the other parks when Cedar Fair doesn't release detailed numbers?

The most hilarious results were from one of the years Geauaga Lake was in decline under Six Flags ownership. Various marketing people around the company knew each others numbers, and every one of them said they number they gave was wrong... like by hundreds of thousands.

Because many parks fluctuate so little from year to year, it makes accuracy that much more important. The fact that they get it wrong is significant. Unfortunately, people will print their numbers in newspapers and whatever and never even question their methodology.
