Cedar Fair wide Parking Pass

raptorqueen's avatar

As some of you know, CP/GL is offering a season parking pass for both parks.

If CP offered a Cedar Fair wide parking pass, would you buy it?

I think it would be fair for those of us who visit CP and MI Adventure on a frequent basis to also be able to take advantage of a "dual parking pass". I know my last trip (and future trips) to Vegas will include a stop at Knott's Berry Farm also.

Do you think this is a good idea?

Well, how many people, realistically, would take advantage of this?

Not me. When I go to CP, I stay on-point now, so I don't worry about parking. And even so, doing one MAYBE two day-trips wouldn't make up for the cost of a chain-wide parking pass, unless it was only 5 bucks more than the 35 I pay for a MA pass.

Since I went to CP, Knott's, Dorney, and GL this year I think I would be interested in this type of a parking pass, especially since I went to CP numerous times. I have a CP parking pass but I still paid an extra 30 bucks or so for parking at other CF parks this year.

It could hardly be a bad idea, regardless of its popularity. Having such a pass would only encourage people to visit more parks more often, while not really costing CP all that much money.

Sure, not too many people would take advantage of it, but it would be a nice "thank you" to those that frequent the many CF parks.

Why should they make a chainwide parking pass when they're able to get the extra money out of the people who would use it anyway?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love one. I've paid $95 just in parking, and that only gets me into CP, GL and MiA for 2006. Then my season pass was still $144 or whatever.

For whatever reason, I was able to talk the guys into giving me free parking at Knott's Berry Farm last spring. ;)

I can see this being useful if it was a J/C type parking pass. If it was a permanently attached to the car type pass then I don't think it would be as helpful.

I don't know if many of you have realized this or not but next year the parking pass can be put on your pass regardless if you have joe cool or not ;).

I would certainly pay extra for a parking pass that would allow me to park at MiA, CP and other CF parks.

I think this would be neat, but Dorney already lets season pass holders park for free...it would be cool if the other CF parks did that.

That is what the park should be doing, or maybe half-price since Sandusky likes to milk the cash cow with so many taxes. I know when I got my season pass this year the week before the park opened I didn't think we (my mom and I) would be up here for more than five days this season. Well, now it will be 5 trips for a total of almost 10 days spent at the park, so I'm ganna be sure to get a parking pass on MY pass next year (I'll be able to drive there by myself!).

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I think that a parking pass for all CF owned parks would be a good idea. I have met a lot of people that come from one of the other CF parks to Cedar Point every year and maybe you would not use it, but I bet a lot of them would.

My parents found that out this past Sunday when they went to purchase our passes for next season. I guess the lady in the season pass center was extremely nice. She asked if the Joe Cool Club they were purchasing was to get into the park early or to put the parking pass on my dad's pass. When they said it was for the latter, she informed them that JCC wasn't necessary anymore to put a parking pass on a season pass. Maybe someone read my complaint on here about it being a way for the park to get another $15 out of people ;).

I just don't understand if they can make it a parking pass for GL/CP, then why not just throw in the whole ball and make it a complete Cedar Fair parking pass.

Kick A$$. You mean that I do not have to buy J/C in order get the Parking Pass on my card. That was the only reason I spent 15 on J/C.

And I do think that a Chain wide pass is a good idea.

2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3

I love the idea of a Cedar Fair parking pass! This year we sprung for the CP pass, but just paid per trip at MiAdventure. It's a small thing that many of us would truly appreciate. Maybe someday................
