CEDAR FAIR vs. SIX FLAGS

Hey gang,
while at HALLOWEEKENDS this past Saturday (14th), I overhear someone say that CEDAR FAIR was a BIGGER company than SIX FLAGS...and if they wanted to CEDAR FAIR could buy out SIX FLAGS...any truth to is...or is SIX FLAGS much bigger?

thanks. mikey.
Six Flags is a monster company that is much bigger than CF. Quantity ain't everything.
Cedar Fair could not buy Six Flags. (I really don't think they'd want to) :)
A related question: I know Cedar Fair owns the different parks, but do they have any other things besides the amusement industry? Like the Knott's Berry jam and stuff -- we have that in our grocery stores -- is that profit credited to Cedar Fair as well? Sometimes huge companies are into more than one thing, that could be what the SFO v. CF was about.

The Knott's food properties are not a business unit of Cedar Fair, LP.

Ok, shouldn't it be Cedar Fair Vs. Premier Parks? Well anyway, Premier owns MUCH more than Cedar Fair.

Gravity knows no force like Millennium Force!

Six Flags, Inc., is The Company Formerly Known as Premier Parks. Its trading symbol remains PKS.

Couldn't you see Cedar Point's name under a SF company.

Six Flags Corporation and Coca-Cola Present:
The Park Formerly Known as Cedar Point

(Imagine having a website with that in the title)
Actually, corporate finance being what it is, FUN could probably purchase PKS if it really wanted to. Thing is, it would probably not be a wise purchase at this time, as FUN has major financial committments to its 5-1/2 parks which would get in the way of a raid on PKS.

My understanding is that FUN is a much more profitable company than PKS at the moment.

If you look at it that way, I agree that they could. I was just looking at the gross properties of both companies. Also, look at all the investments PKS made this year, it will probably pay off majorly in the years to come financially. (I hope not)
