We've known that season pass stuff for a while now, so the new news is that admission goes back up next year?

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

It'll be interesting to see if they bring back the "standard" coupon of $10 off next year. This year most coupons will save you $7, so next year a $10 coupon would get you in for $1 less than this year.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

So prices creep back up, so does parking and they've irritated passholders with the parking pass/season pass situation? Awesome.

I can't say I'm surprised the rate is going back up...

Just got a "Fun Times" in the mail today all about pass renewal. I'm confused about how the Max Pass will work for Buccaneer Bay at PKI. Do you need the plus pass? I will vist CP, PKI, and maybe KBF in '07 but PKI would be the only one where I would visit the water park. It would save me a whopping 9.95 after after adding JCC to the Maxx Pass but hey, that's a pretzel and a Pepsi.

The regular maxx pass works with Boomerang Bay at Kings Island.
That particular waterpark has always been free with admission, and it will stay that way for next year as well. The maxx pass plus is for the separate admission waterparks (soak city...etc) Fortunately, the waterparks with the old Paramount sites are included with entrance to the park

Waterparks are included with Dorney Park, Geauga Lake, and the Paramount parks. They are separate gates at Cedar Point, Worlds of Fun and Knott's Berry Farm.

I don't think there is any reason to expect Cedar Fair to split the admission gates at the Paramount parks, as they already have a tradition of operating both separate gate waterparks (Soak City, Oceans of Fun) and included waterparks (Wildwater Kingdom).

No surprise. Lowering admission doesn't seem to have boosted attendance. It's interesting that PKI will go down, though.

Kings Island was just way too expensive this year for a one-day ticket. I am not surprised CF lowered the price, even if only a little. That was CBS's doing, trying to milk the guests this year while cheapening the experience. *** Edited 10/13/2006 3:34:17 PM UTC by kirk06***

2007 - Wicked Twister
2008 - Wicked Twister
2009 - (Walt Disney World) Space Mountain/Tomorrowland Speedway

That article didn't mention anything about senior/junior gate prices for 2007. Does anyone know if they'll keep those at $9.95?

Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...

I think Paramount thought they could compete with the gate at places like Disney and Universal. Doesn't cut it in Cincy.
