CEDAR DOWNS

I have been going to Cedar Point for the last 15 years and usually go around 5 times a year. I ride cedar downs almost everytime i go but i can never understand what guy announcing the race is saying. The only thing that i can make out is the first part when he says. (They're approching the gates.) If anyone else knows what is being said please post and let me know. Thanks!!!
he says don't rock your horse, Don't run, and when the ride come to a complete stop follow the arrows to the nearest exit. I am sure someone can tell you the exact speal so I will leave the rest for them.

Cedar downs is a great ride and should not be over looked.

I believe you are asking about what is being said while the race is on. From what I have been able to hear is that he is announcing a horse race, cause I am sure near the end I can hear him say " And down the stretch they come !!!" You can also hear people in the background cheering on horses they bet on.

CP/PKldude besides being a great ride it is also one of the oldest and it shouldn't be overlooked, because it was originally at Euclid Beach Park and how many times do you get to ride a ride that both your parents and possibly grandparents rode if they grew up around Cleveland.

It just sounds like noise to me. The audio in there is in bad shape. I seem to recall once upon a time that there was some kind of horse race trumpet fanfare (I know that has a name, can't think of it). I just noticed the noise on Tuesday.

If I recall properly, the recorded effects (which started after the live dos and don'ts) began with the playing of "to the Post" bugle fanfare. Then a bell would ring and then there was the running commentary of a horse track announcer calling a horse race with crowd noises in the background. At the point that the power is shut off and the brakes are applied the winnier was announced. Then the live "please remain seated until the ride has come to a full and complete stop. At that time please exit through the side exit gates. Thank you for riding Cedar Downs. Have a great day at Cedar Point, where every day is fun day!"
I love the ride and try to ride it once a visit, and yes I always ride the same horse. The reason being is because I have a model of the horse.

Yeah i agree that the audio is just awful and besides that the ride can be somewhat noisy. I agree that it should not be overlooked. I love the old classic rides including this one. Thanks for everyones replies.
it is an awesome ride...it loks so slow watching it but yet it feels so fast riding it...but the audio is very badly done but without it, it would be just a really fast merry-go-round.

I've been hearing some stuff from the Lemon Chill guy lately, you wanna hear what he told me?

Hey dan, can you post a pic of that model?

This ride is a family tradition to ride on every trip. You never have a long wait unfortunately I have no idea what they are saying.
