How many want CP to tear down the Mine Ride? I sure don't. It's not the best in the parks but still fun! It has historical properties.

I've heard a lot of people complaining about Mine Ride, but I personally like it. It has historical properties, it helps Cedar Point keep its record number of coasters, and it is a fun (if not thrilling) ride. Also, it serves as a step between the kiddie coasters and the bigger monsters for kids. And, finally, it is my mother's favorite ride and she would be crushed if it were gone. She would also be crushed if they took out Disaster Transport or Iron Dragon.

Why would they take it out? What would go there? I don't think they can really fit another coaster in there.

It's the only coaster my mother will ride too. We got her on ID once and she was freaking out. It was my first "real" coaster, the one I would ride when I was afraid of the larger ones. I remember when I was young and just cresting the first lift hill and gazing over at Gemini so glad that I wasn't on *that* ride!

Why would you take it out? It does its job as well today as it did the day it opened. It was supposed to be a "family" ride it a great setting and it still is.

CCMR is as important as Blue Streak when you look at CP's Historic Coasters...Its not going anywhere anytime soon I feel...

There's the new advertising slogan for Mine Ride: "The favorite roller coaster of Moms everywhere!". (Mine too, as it turns out.)
Just remember...Choosy Mothers Choose Mine Ride!
