Cedar Point without Coasters?

Since I had so many sincere replies to my post, I think an update is appropriate. My wife Carol is having her surgery May the 9th, and hopefully coming home on the next day, which happens to be the day CP opens. In 7 weeks after that, her post op visit with the surgeon, we will know much more. Keep her in your thoughts when you walk in under the Gate Keeper.

Will do Allan, hope your wife's surgery goes perfectly and she has a speedy recovery.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Thank you Pete. Her surgeon is rated as one of the top 100 in his field, so the chances should be good.

I felt I owed it to you to share the good news. Carol had surgery yesterday and it was a success. Of course it will take time to determine the level of success, but the Doc said everything well, although the plans to remove one vertebrae was deep sixed due to the quality of her bones. They are too soft, but he said it should work out just as well. Still no coasters in the foreseeable future, if ever. Just kidding, that is of little importance, relatively speaking. ;)

Great news! Thanks for sharing. May her time of recovery pass quickly. Thoughts and prayers will continue.

Thank you. I appreciate that.

PS If you see a lady with a medical neck support collar walking around CP, that probably will be my Carol.

Very happy to hear, Allan, and thanks for keeping us updated. I'll keep my eye out for your two on the midways. There are fewer bigger reliefs in life than hearing a surgeon tell you "everything went well". Here's to you and your wife and happy days to come.

Excellent news Allan! I hope Carol has a speedy recovery and lots of good times ahead.

I appreciate all the good wishes as does Carol. She hates not being able to ride, but her health is more important. We hope to get to the Point as soon as is practical. We both are having withdrawal symptoms, and searching youtube for the latest CP videos.

I'm glad to hear her surgery went well! Hopefully you guys can get to the park some time this summer and enjoy the atmosphere in the mean time. Keeping you guys in my thoughts and wishing for a speedy recovery as well.

Thank you everybody.
